    Good evening.

Today was a spendy day (so that makes it six out of eight spend free days so far).
Don't laugh but I am now the proud owner of six bottles of liquid soap and 24 toilet rolls.
    :p

My parents took me to co$tco and they had some deals. I also bought some beef burgers (onion free and delicious on the BBQ). We also went to 4ldi and bought some stuff there.
    :D

Geez funbrum, I can not imagine being so unprepared and so blazay (probably wrong spelling) about something so important. I hope you friend gets their act together soon.

I have maybe missed this clippy_girl but what are your guidebooks for?? are you going on holiday??
    :)

    Hugs to everyone.

    Quote for the day

    When I loved myself enough
I redefined success and life became simple.
    Oh the pleasure of that.

    Fmess
hope the change of bedroom is helpful.

Clippy girl I have curry envy.

Funbrumgood luck with the book sales and the move phobic friend.

Calling14 I sleep on whichever side of the bed is nearest the door (changed when I changed rooms) but usually have books/ laptop/ random stuff on the other half. If you sleep in the middle your head falls between the two sets of pillows.

    Bob:eek: to the nightmare tenant.

I wanted a quote about slowing down but can't find it atm. That is what I have done today. I put an extra cover on the bed which made me warmer and i had a much better night. Dozed this morning instead of trying to force my body to do things it didn't want to and feel much brighter. Opticians this afternoon and with the voucher it should only be £92. They didn't want a deposit so I put off buying a loaf and had a SFD.

I find I am still putting things on the house list. Only put mending the loo on a couple of days ago, got so used to pulling the thing up to flush (no lid on as the push button flush is broken) that I don't even notice it. Now keep adding extras ie not only the essential repairs but ask for suggestions on how to tackle extra bits (bathroom walls need something but tiles/ panels might be difficult in places - things to go round and not much/ any room behind). Again some are long standing - the man who fitted the towel rail waited until it was done before wondering how I would tile behind it.

Today I am grateful for extra room in the bin (result of DS3 being away) so I could get rid of a few broken garden bits, for being able to walk round the library twice and for finding some new glasses that work better with my little nose and non-existent bridge.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Sorry haven't managed to post at all for a few days - my assessment was today so have been spending most of my free time preparing for it. Will find out in a few days if I have passed, fingers crossed.

Can't actually mind when I last posted, think it is was possibly Friday so I had a spend day on Saturday and then NSDs Sunday, Monday and today. I've also made a wee £4 payment towards the debt. Not much else to report, having a lazy evening. A day off tomorrow so plan to have a productive day and get various bits and pieces done.

Yeay to debtbusting, Fmess :) x

SFD yesterday - making 5, I think - am impressed with that :) Gave DS1 £2 for school bus today - he normally cycles but the weather is very wet and very windy, and he still has the last traces of a cold, so I thought it far better that he doesn't cycle today (catches the bus maybe a dozen times a school year, sometimes due to weather, sometimes to the amount/ type of stuff he has with him (cookery was always a bus day), sometimes if off colour - and inevitably at least once due to late discovery of a puncture!) So some food shopping also purchased, and car filled with fuel, after beeping at me for the past 2 days :)

I'm planning on tackling some paperwork today. DS3 still unwell and currently snuggled on sofa with OH, so DIY progress has stalled :D

Sorry I didn't get to check in yesterday, I have broken my laptop  I'd left it sitting on the arm of the sofa and knocked it off. The screen is smashed and I am devastated. I've sent it in for repair and mam crossing fingers that it only needs a new screen.
I haven't managed another nsd so I've decided I have to go back to work next week in order to avoid spending more money than I can reasonably afford.
Nothing much else to report. Just sitting back, relaxing and letting the world go by.

    Hi everyone!

Sorry for disappearing part way through Feb - life just got in the way! I promise I have been good during my absence. I have had good news regarding my job and my contract has been extended by 3 months. I have also been for an interview for a job that will start in September, incase my contract isn't extended again.

I will go and read back now what you have all been up to.

    Hi all.

CCL - Oh no, hope you get it fixed without too much expense.

Bob - that tenant sounds delightful - what a nightmare.

It is my birthday today so I will be buying a bottle of wine later to share with DH. It is grocery shopping day and I have done a click and collect with Tesco as I had a voucher with them. I got lots of lovely things today and am a happy bunny.
