    Morning all,

CCL and greent- hope you both get to enjoy a belated Mother's Day when everyone is better!

We have now had a sprinkling of snow here overnight and it's snowing again. But only little specs so I don't think it will be bad. Obviously it has not affected the roads as cars are still wizzing past.

I am working from home today :) got a guest changeover so will be doing some cleaning at lunchtime. Also need to pop to screw fix to see about getting the towel radiator. Seems quite logical that you would want one with a timer but I'm struggling to find anywhere selling one with a timer except an expensive online shop!! Electrician said could buy a normal timer but most are not suitable for use in the bathroom so more holes would need to be drilled in the wall. Will go along and see what screw fix have. Will be nice to not have the house like a furnace to keep the bathroom heated. It's very cold in there otherwise!

Also need to book my injection, hope I can get first one tomorrow.

I'm still really suffering with my back in bed. I now don't think it is an issue with the mattress as changed from firm to medium and still hurts the same. My back is fine during the day, just hurts when I am lying in bed after a while and all throughout the night so I keep tossing and turning. Im going to swap my mattress with the guest one for a few days and if that doesn't make a difference I will need to go and see an osteopath which I assume I need to pay for. We do have a muskal skeletal clinic we can be referred to from work but not sure what the criteria is or if it's free. I will look into it!

Clippy Girl - I gave up with towel radiators(rust and no heat) and put a new radiator in my bathroom, cheaper and heaps warmer - mine was always the ice room. Still dry towels on it and can always turn rest of the rads off if you just want the bathroom heated.

    Greent belated birthday wishes.

Hope all the baby turtles get well soon. Soon be Easter.

Ears have calmed down still hurt but not feeling dizzy now with them, would help if the office wasn't so cold today. Be glad when it warms up at the end of the week.

Had a lovely mothers day, lots of pressies heaps of purple tulips - filled two vases full of them, plant off gs, wine, easter egg cakes, wine and a bracelet been wanting for a while. Had a nice chat with dd2 who is in Vietnam killing time waiting for visas, happy she has better internet there.

I cooked dinner as I hate going out with the sheep on Mothers day and my daughter spent enough on me, we painted easter eggs( cheap ones 89p in HB) came with glitter and stickers, ribbon. Gs loved it so much fun made my day when he turned around and said he was really happy.

Cleared my spendy cc today. Seem to have misbudgeted somewhere this week had to raid some from savings, which will be returned Thursday.

Claimed 20 pounds back from Quidco so that will go towards debts when it hits my bank.

Little or no exercise done this weekend. Did attempt walk last night about 6pm but too cold, ears hurting came home not even done a mile.

Fmess keep both trousers - save putting small washes on.

CCL jealous of your shoe haul.

Bob will chase you around debt challenge board next week hopefully.

    Have a great Monday folks.

Hello, just a quick update. Will read later once I have a minute more.

Had a lovely mother's day weekend. Sent the kids and DH away overnight to FIL, so had some lovely time to myself. No routines, worries about feeding time, bedtime etc. Got out in the garden and got loads done to get it ready for spring (veg patch, de-algae the conservatory, clean play house, cut and fertilise grass...). All these jobs that are impossible or take ages with small kids. Same for in the house, got 95% of my list a had written done. And got a chance to a lovely bath, good book, and coffee in bed in the morning. Bliss. Just what I needed and feel properly recharged and accomplished. Plus it was an eyeopener for DH who never had the kids by himself (well and FIL's help) overnight. He was done in and looked a bit broken. He also realised how much he relies on going back to bed at 8 or 9 am the one day he gets the kids in the morning after I got up. So it was good for both of us on various levels :)

    One more SFD too.

    Hi.8:wave:

I've been up all night and morning with an upset tummy. :(
I'm annoyed as its beautiful outside and I planned on a long walk which would gave been lovely in the 'spring-like' sunshine.

Mothers day was lovely and I had a steady flow of family through the door, and beautiful flowers and gifts.:A
NSD yesterday and I doubt will even leave the bathroom for longer than 10minutes today!

Bob...I worry about our library closing, but they are just putting on a new roof and refurbishing inside, so hopefully it's safe. Who knows though when a new council comes to power! :o

Tofay I am grateful for competent Trainers who explain well, for not having to travel up to Lunnon town on a daily basis, for good public transport, for getting a shower, for dd being excited that it was me at the door when I came home.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! :)

FunBrum - hope you get better soon!!!

SFD today - DS3 still ill, DS2 was off school just for the morning and DD has come home from school feeling unwell. No cubs due to illness, so no activity needed to be paid for so decided to wait to go to supermarket (but will need to go in next day or two - otherwise the loo roll situation could get desperate!!! :D) Have an £8 off £40 spend voucher, so will plan accordingly - and just buy more loo rolls if more spends required :D:D

Out for afternoon tea tomorrow - but voucher for it was a gift, so should be no spends there :D

Dropped outgrown school uniform off at school for 'spares' or selling on :)

Freezer inventory re-done and fridge tidied out - meal ideas thought of to use up some of the weird and wonderful lurking objects over next few weeks! :)

Off to tackle my ironing mountain....

Funbrum - hope that you're feeling better soon.
DD has had the day off school today but is getting better. I'm not convinced that she'll be back at school tomorrow but at least she got up for a few hours today. DH took us for carvery dinner after we picked ds up from school as a belated mother's day pressie. I'm stuffed and shattered and so pleased not to have to go into work tomorrow. I popped in today with my sicknote, and was pleased to see the rest of my department, but the Head wants a meeting with me and HR next week to discuss how they can support me.
Bagged a nsd :j so that's good, and am spending my time off relaxing, watching tv and knitting/crocheting.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All

Sorry to hear that you've been ill FunBrum. Have an early night tonight to refuel yourself.

I am glad you had time to yourself Thrifty and that you enjoyed time to yourself Calling it can feel a bit like your a sheep on these hallmark days.

I had to go in to bat against Nat*est who had charged me interest after clearing my card when I balance transfered last. It was a silly situation that had spiralled from me not knowing they were applying charges etc. Anyway I rang them and they were fantastic. I explained I'd been in hospital last month and so hadn't been on top of things. They agreed to refund the interest, cancel the charges and update the credit referencing agencies that it was in error. I am really pleased with the outcome. Again it reminds me how useful Noodle is as that is how I became aware of the situation.

NSD here. Have made tonight's dinner from a curry leftover from last week and adding new coconut milk and lentils. Should be fine (send help if I don't post within the next 24 hours) waste not and all that ;)
