Just back from aldi, spent £47  however £10 on gin and £4 on leggings.
So only £33 on food and considering I bought beef frying steaks, diced beef and chicken breasts I think that's pretty good :money:
Cooking the lamb curry sauce and it smells lovelygoing to make chicken soup to use up some random veg and bits of chicken in the freezer.
Need to go and do cleaning and make up my bed.
Think I will spend some time tonight reading my konmarie book as got a few areas left to do. Then can list on eBay :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
OH and DD have been at a Uni applicant day today - no spending there as lunch was provided but he did get some food shopping on the way home (with a list
) (I often go on a Sunday, but tomorrow is both Mothering Sunday and my birthday, so I don't really want to spend the time in supermarkets if it could be avoided!
) I was stuck at home as DS3 is unwell with high temperature and vomiting
We were meant to be off out for a meal tonight for my bday but have cancelled. Now debating whether to have a takeaway or rustle something up - I know no takeaways - but this would be instead of a pre-planned meal out (and therefore cheaper overall!)
ETA: takeaway being ordered - less than £20 for a set meal for 2 which will actually feed 3 of us, so much cheaper than our planned meal. Plus a bottle of wine from our stock

Clippy_girl your shopping sounds ace. Gin and leggings. Are the leggings any good from Aldee?. With yr injections it cheaper to buy it from the chemist and take it to yr Drs. My daughter did that, sure it was Boots who were the cheapest.
Today woken up by my daughter face timing me, she has now arrived in Vietnam looking all suntanned wheras I was all tearful with earache. Went to chemists first thing but still not eased up.
Feeling fed up wasted money on coffee/cake. Great veg in Morrisons all at 32p each, cabbage, broccoli, carrots. Nice pork loin chops3 for £2 Small spend in HB on easter colouring book and other easter tat.
Stayed in all afternoon and kept my woolly hat on.
Bob I was wondering where yr signature was. Brilliant debt busting so jealous.
Clippy_girl I love curries but just can't sleep with hot flushes after eating them. Thought I was over the stage lol.

Hi everyone :hello:
Not a nsd - I needed to get some milk and there was a fantastic meal deal offer on in Mr M for £3. Frozen pizza, chips and a tub of Haagen Dazs. Would have been rude not to.
Busy busy - dh has had a minor relapse, deciding that nobody is allowed to be more poorly than him. So I've done the football run, gymnastics run, top up shop, and went to catch up with my bestie now that she's on the mend.
I am relaxing - taking my crochet everywhere at the moment because it really helps me relax. The match was good, gym was fine and brilliant to see my bestie better. I've made dinner and we're just chilling in front of the telly for a bit.Not giving up

Quote for the day
When I loved myself enough
I no longer needed things or people
to make me feel safe
Crazy cat lady Use the time off the doctor has given you wisely, you are under immense stress and need to take time for you. Shetland was superb, wasn't it.
Dolly84 happy new payday.
Calling14 glad you enjoyed your day off and good work on the exercise.
Fmess congratulations on the good day at work and enjoy your social weekend.
Greent well done on the hm costumes and the volunteering (and for explaining why the library staff were in Alice costumes - I wondered but not enough to ask). to the cost of costumes, one of our fancy dress shops had extended hours for wbd.
bobarella excellent meat bargains (I only seem to get veg and bread these days). Enjoy the swimming and well doen on the debt repayments.
Clippy girl I love your curry diet.
*snow*white* Good luck with the clutter clearing. So sorry you lost a SFD due to having to buy a packed lunch. Would it help to make up a few extra sandwiches when you have time and freeze them. I put bottles of tap water in the freezer (DS3 does made up cordial in summer) and that keeps a whole picnic cool until needed.
I am not doing great on exercise. Did a little walk round town one day and had to sit down 3 times. The flu type thing is hanging on in the form of another irritating cough so don't want to push it but will try dancing tomorrow. Yesterday's diy made me nap in the afternoon, slept solidly all night and still dozed off several times this morning.
Made myself get up and out, spent a bit too much (more wants than needs) but did bring back the sack of onions for £2.50. That will have to count as today's exercise as it was a bit of an effort. Took hm card and present (token choc bar but IOUs for some of the jobs she needs doing) to mum at the bungalow. Took a taxi and had a lift back. Free tea but brought 6 things back - heaviest were two file boxes and a bin bag full of paperwork to sort (homework for the week).
Keep forgetting to say Indian Head Massage was fantastic. She did a lot of work on my shoulders and upper back (lots of knots and kinks), conditioned my hair and did my head and face. I think I would like to have it as an occasional (possibly regular) treat. I have also booked an optician's appointment for this week as a bit fell off my glasses this week, I can't find my spare pair and these are increasingly uncomfortable. As I am so reliant on them, it makes sense to go - should have been renewed last year (eye test was in January, voucher ran out in September) and the frames are either 6 or 8 years old.
Planning to sloth if required tomorrow. I have 5 alternate universes to visitand some chocolate
(and broken chocolate biscuits
:o). Back to being good on Monday. Will undercoat half the stairs (including the naughty step).
Today I am grateful for
libraries and suggestions from other readers (the SHTF folks were discussing sci fi/ fantasy books)
Free food and food bargains

Haha CCL, I did the same deal with morries the other day. The salted caramel hagen daz is lovely.
We are planning on having a "big" holiday every four years to celebrate our anniversary. Our next one is 2022 (wedding is 2018) and OH has chosen Asia.
So, as a bit of relaxation, I have been looking at places to visit whilst we are there. Only figured out Tokyo so far and have started looking at an oldy-worldy bath house.
Has anyone had any experience with Asia?? We are planning on going for 3 weeks and want to do a bit of Japan and either Thailand, China or somewhere else. Any recommendations??
Spend-free day today (technically spent £3.50 but mum is paying me back). It was my nephew's birthday party and I spent two hours chasing kids, playing balloon games so I am classing this as exercise. It has to be, I was absolutely shattered by the end of it.
Sadly, I never got on the bouncy castle as the people came to pack it up before all the kids had left.
Hope everyone is doing okay.

Hi all. It is snowing here at the moment but not heavily and isn't forecast to snow so it must just be a pretty shower.
I got some lovely chocolates for Mother's Day which I am going to keep all too myself. I need to visit my mum with her gift at some point today. I have a lot to do today, I need to get the ironing pile sorted, make a cottage pie for tea and bolognese for tomorrow's bolognese pasta bake, clean the floors, wash the runner in the hall and the dogs bedding and towels, go for a run in the woods (I will take the dog so he is sorted at the same time) take DD riding, wash DS's football kit - OMG I feel exhausted just thinking about it all.
Yesterday involved spending money. We rented a DVD from the library to watch with the kids last night - £1, also had a 10p library fine, bought dog food but that was budgeted for, DD went to a friends party yesterday and we only got the invite mid week so we had to buy a gift for that - we got some very pretty stationery from Wilko which was reduced then when we got to the till it was reduced again so we got a very nice gift for £3.60.
We also had to buy DD a new coat for riding - £36.74:eek:, it was heavily reduced and will fit her for a long time as it is quite roomy at the moment but not huge, it is also very lovely and I want it.
Bob - well done on your debt repayments - you never lose focus which is very impresssive and inspiring.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Morning all,
Spendy day yesterday but not too bad as I did tutoring on Friday night and that covered my spends for the day, plus think I have £5 leftover. Did the food shopping, bought a little Spring hanging basket and went out socialising but was offered a lift there and back my a kind friend.
Today might remain a SFD but we'll see. I'm currently back in bed as need to catch up on sleep but also going for dinner with mum and family and then to a concert tonight. Parking is free and I won't have any snacks etc as its straight after the meal.
Hope you all have a good dayLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Morning turtles!
Calling I will report back on the leggings! I was very impressed with my haul and am considering buying a little wheelie shopping trolley and walking there (but don't tell my mum as I really took the mick out of her when she got one!) :rotfl:
Stewby I've been to Thailand, Hong Kong and India in Asia and am about to go to Bali and SingaporeThailand was a fab and was very easy to organise yourself. We did a two week guided tour taking in Bangkok, Chang mai, a national park then ended up in krabbi. We then went to 4 islands ourselves by ferry and plane and just booked accommodation on booking.com etc. We stayed in a gorgeous place in koh Tao on a hill surrounded by forest and the hotel had two private beaches. It was really cheap as well. :money::money:
But obviously India was my favourite with unlimited access to yummy curry :drool:
Mothernerd head massage sounds lovelyI love a good massage, having one in a few weeks when I visit a uni friend as she has a baby now so we are all staying at hers and instead of paying for dinner and drinks out we are having a beautician visit us as her house :cool:
So today I am going to do another gym class :A third day in a row. Pretty much every part of my body already hurts except surprisingly my legs so good job it is body step class! I am on the holiday countdown diet which is basically porridge soup and curry :rotfl: have already given up all added sugar about 8(?) weeks ago except gin and tonic so need to up the exercise!
Need to go and buy bread today for guests. Bought flour in aldi to make bread in the breadmaker but realised yeast was out of date. Tried it anyway but bread didn't really rise. To be honest I can't really be bothered with breadmaker, esp as its the mini Lakeland one so isn't really suitable now I have to feed guests. Once I have cleaned it I will list it on gumtree and Facebook.
Also need to go to screw fix (what an exciting life I lead!). Need to check out their electric towel rails for the guest bathroom as even when the heating is on it's like an ice box! Electrician is coming Friday to do the extractor fan so he will fit if if I can get one:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0
