Very jealous of your wedges Bob, I love him wedges. I am trying to give up carbs after lunch until my holiday though so have to resist! I've lost weight since I gave up sugar but it's not come off my middle area
just tried on my shorts and none of them fit
think one pair will hopefully by the time I go!
Had a good sort out of clothes and got a big pile for the charity shop. Didn't get rid of as many as I would have liked but I do really like everything I kept (just need to continue to loose weight to fit into it!).
Didn't go to aldi as didn't need much so just went to tesco express. Spent £8 on fruit and dairy as that was all I needed
Have listed a few things to sell on Facebook and got someone coming to buy a bottle of alcohol I've got unopened in the cupboard as I prefer gin now!
Ordered the new bin, I will collect it tomorrow I think and install it on Tuesday. Quite excited
Having a nice night in with lamb curry for dinner then homus and cucumber for desert. Was drinking last night and didn't get to bed until 1.30 so early night for me tonight!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Quote for the day
When I loved myself enough
I learned to grieve for the hurts in life when
they happen instead of making my
heart heavy from lugging them around,Fmess yay to no new mess. What a productive day you have had.
misstara enjoy your lie in.
ccl here's to moderate laptop repairs.
clippy girl enjoy your new bin, boo to non fitting shorts.
Bob your wombling is amazing.
I am on my tenth load of washing. Have done the curtains, all DS3's bedding (2 quilts, 4 pillows, large purple fluffy, sheets and pillow cases) then started on my bed plus any clothes and cleaning rags. haven't done the front room curtains as I would need to move 2 couches, at least one other piece of furniture and a random pile of stuff (possibly two piles depending on how much the second sofa is boxed in). Did try just pushing the curtain rail up with a broom but DS2 seems to have screwed this one in.
In between I have continued finding places for things, so 2 of the drills and a large (rearranged) box of decorating tools back under the stairs, bag of garden tools into a cupboard (was blocked by all the decorating stuff), lots of little bits away in drawers and 2 more big bags for the charity bin in the library. Food bland but sufficient - trying to empty the fridge and using up odd items. have written a list of things I can cook using what I have.
Today I am grateful for a good drying day
for having a bath, washing my hair and a little extra grooming as well
and for being free to get on with what I needed to do.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Clippy - I'mglad you have decided to have the jab!
Today I am grateful for the rugby on the telly, for dd + friend playing in the back garden for the first time this year, for finding a great black jacket for smarter occasions in the £1 charity shop, for my knitting being successful, for finding 25p roadkill.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Tad jealous of you productive lot.
Not done a lot today, even after bed at 7pm last night I still feel rough.
Today made a blackberry crumble and cooked a chicken. Managed to wash my hair and I am shattered.
Apple I have tried the dress on looks nice. However need to sure if the material will cling too much. Will definitely try on again and decide when I don't look like death.
Managed to spend today transferred money to my daughter for her birthday, still in Vietnam and loving it.
Stayed in all day my legs weren't up to going anywhere. Glad I don't have a dog to walk today. Fmess hope you get all mess cleared up I don't miss muddy paws do miss furry creature though.
Bob badge looking good.

Fmess As far as I am aware if you do have subsidence and have to undertake remedial work then you will be stuck with your current insurer unless you pay to have a surveyor do another survey something like 3 years post last sign of movement. My new upstairs neighbours investigated this option as we share the policy with it being classed as a block of flats by the insurer (Victorian conversion) and that is what they were told. It 'may' be worth us coughing up the 3k between us if one party wants to sell and it looks like it's putting buyers off but as subsidence is a massive issue in South east London, I suspect it will not kill the value for location driven buyers.
Edited to say, I have never understood why a property that has been underpinned is seen as less desirable. After all it is now safer than a property that hasn't been." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Thanks bob, that was my query, if the problems been fixed, why is it still considered an issue. Oh well, will have to wait and see. It might not be subsidence but whatever happens it looks like I might be getting a loan to cover the work that I need to pay for.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

I am off to the gym today, operation fit in shorts in is motion. Unfortunately I'm going for a big Sunday roast with a friend though after which will undo my hard work
Then going to pick up my bin from screw fix and if I have time, pop to pets at home for more cat food. Was going to go to wilco and get a few things but checked my toiletry stash and I have both things needed 'in stock'
Will leave holiday shopping until weekend before I go I case I need new shortsso far all i need is one can of insect spray, one bottle of sun lotion and some rehydration sachets as got the rest

Sorry Clippy_girl I didn't reply yesterday about the wedges. They were good I have to say. I don't think potato is as bad as people make out is it for being unhealthy? Anyway I'm sure you will soon have your shorts situation sorted" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Evening all
I have my laptop back! Got the phone call yesterday afternoon. All repaired for £65, and a lecture about not leaving it lying about in future...
Then it's been a bit non stop.
First date night with dh for as long as I can remember. We were only out a couple of hours - went for dinner and a long serious chat which was far too serious for my liking. Still, I suppose it's good that we can talk to each other without judgement etc, and I hope that it helps with his recovery...
I'm heading back to work tomorrow as well. I'm refreshed, not exactly fighting fit but better than I was. Remind me tomorrow night that I said I was looking forward to seeing my classes when I got back. I have actually missed them
Signature all updated - not doing too well with nsd's this month, but I'll have to from now on because I'm out of cash for this month. I've had to buy new shoes and new work trousers, and dh still isn't workingBut on the plus side, it is my birthday this month so I may yet recoup some of the spends.
Hope everyone is ok. Fmess - hope the house works out ok...Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Today I am grateful for drying the washing outside, for doing a workout, for the rugby, for dd doing a fantastic job clearing her stuff out, for the transforming power of tinybits of red felt.
Ccl - hope the week goes well. Do take it steady...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
