I've been shopping today but it was for my friend and didn't spend a bean of my money!:j

Tomorrow I'm going with my DD1 and her nan, my ex MIL. We are being treated to a high tea at a lovely garden centre, as part of mothers day gift. I'm sure I'm going to find it very difficult not buy any plants.:o
I've challenged myself to only use the seeds I already have, but I know that I will need potting compost, so if anything, that will be my spend. I shall check to see if I can get a voucher first!:D

Roast lamb and veg for dinner this evening. I'm supplying the lamb....the freebie from the weekend....and my friend is supplying the veg. A free dinner for me!:T

Well I'm off to look for a voucher!:)

Today was a NO SPEND DAY

I did house-based activities as I was working from home today. So, two lots of clothes washed and dried. :)

I recycled a sheet into cleaning cloths :)

I called an electrician who is coming tomorrow. :) I don’t have the money but if I can get lights on on the circuit that has gone it will be worth going overdrawn. And, if there is a credit on Friday that I’m hoping for, I might not go overdrawn at all.

I’ve been meaning to clean my dining table and coffee table with beeswax and today I did. Mother nerd is right there is plenty to do about the house that costs nothing.

Lunch was soup and an apple and cheese (I ate so much cheese today!)

Supper is from the freezer: grilled mackerel, sweet jacket potato, broccoli and tahini sauce

I will need to exercise tomorrow, but I kept to the rules. Yay. :T

    Have a lovely evening all

    Evening all,

Great news is that I went to the clinic and don't need the vaccine :j:money: as I was only there a few mins they charged me a child's consultation at only £7.50 :T just need to use repellant and net which I will anyway :D

Spent £42 on cat food as found the money off vouchers. Bought 7kg of food so works out cheap (I will murder him if he goes off it!!) enough to last at least 3 months :)

Then picked up my new bin. I've just installed it and it's good although it's about 5mm too deep so the cupboard door is very slightly ajar (forgot about pipe at back of cupboard). Is so nice not having both bins on the floor in the way of the back door! Luckily we can recycle everything together so I just needed a double one. I am on the look out for a nice kitchen compost bin though as the black one is ugly.

Then nipped to aldi, I am still marvelling over how cheap it is :money:

Had another Airbnb booking so that's good :)

Like Bob I have had a quiet day with not much happening. A SFD.

Will comment later. I have found a poster from an old thread. Can't copy it across so may type it (probably in the middle of the night). I am considering some big changes.

Today I am grateful for leftovers, for being able to rest (inevitable consequences for getting things done yesterday) and for new books by my favourite authors.

    Back later.

    Love that song Mothernerd.

Apologies was missing again yesterday. First day back in work with flu still hanging over me, killed me could have gone to sleep at 5pm but stayed up to watch Happy Valley so good that series.

Today marked improvement, hope so as have toddler after work as well. If whoever is sat on my chest could get off it now would be great.

Non eventful day yesterday, spent 6 pounds as I wanted something nice to eat so treated myself to an egg custard. mousse yogurts Got some easter eggs before all the nice ones go.

Today will be a SFD, hopefully brightens up this afternoon and grandson can chase the bunny around the garden. That should tire them both out.

Going to be unhealthy today and eat pizza for tea, easy option not something I really like but using up rather than spending month.

Today will transfer money to cc's got to now up my game before 0% runs out. So 135.00 off debts today taking me just under 3.5K :T

    Grateful for

Pots of daffodils coming into flower soon.
Fruit mountain on my desk - which I will eat today.
Friend putting moss killer on my lawn for me( so sweet he texted me to say he nearly cried when he got home on Monday saw that I had left him a birthday pressie when I was so ill. Pressie wasn't that bad - plant lol.)Think he is 84 this yr.

Hey Mothernerd I love the quotes :)

I stuck to the rules today again :)

I avoided coffees, lunches and outside treats because I worked from home.

I had a no spend day yesterday but I din't plan one for today because I know I needed coffee, yoghurt, cheese, seeds and apples so I'm going to pop into Morris*** for a mini shop.

I swept under my bed and stored a spare mattress underneath (that may not seem like much but it tidies away a big item).

I washed and dried a wash and made a fish curry from scratch. :) It was yum, I tried it already. I can make good curries but I hate the smell :(

I had some good news! I am a writer (not so much now but hoping to get back to it when my work/life/debt balance improves) and some monies for people photocopying my work comes in every year. I never know exactly when or how much, but a payment came and it's £150!!!! I had £2 left until 24/03 so I am stupidly happy about it :rotfl::rotfl:

I can have a nice time planning what to save and what to spend of my little windfall :)

Hoping my fellow turtles are having a good day
