doingitanyway - great news re extra money
mothernerd - sorry you had a difficult day. That's a lot of paperwork!
CCL - fab news re hubby!
Another SFD achieved today - but not for the past couple of daysOH did spend today on something, but it's a claimable business expense, so I'm not going to count that, as it's coming back in again.
DS3's room almost there now. Have ordered a clock yesterday for his wall, now that he can tell (some of) the time- paid with amazin vouchers changed up from cashback
Still need a new lampshade, though - but am holding on, rather than buying something because 'it'll do' Have had a good sort on toys, with things now put back in game boxes etc. Also need a blind (sadly his curtains aren't lined), so need to measure up for that. May actually start DS2's room next week
Decluttered a load of videos from family room (mainly to bin, paper inserts to recycling) - just kept HM ones which need transferring to DVD.
Currently baking a load of mega chocolatey cookies to take with me volunteering tomorrow - also need some for my children, otherwise they will be very disappointed! Food spends need updating in sig, but are going well - and space is appearing in the freezer - finally - yeay!!!

Hi Turtles
So as of today I am 33% towards my goal figure for this year. I have been managing to pay around £300 a month off which if I keep doing ought to see me clear by September instead of December.
The power of the PAD has seen me right so far
Really hope everyone is doing well.

Evening all,
DIA - congratulations on the extra money
CCL - that is a huge positive
Calling - hope you enjoyed your nap and are feeling better
SFD today :j but not much else to report. Got two spendy events coming up - meal out and day out, which weren't arranged until after my budgets so I'm going to try and make my tutoring money from this week stretch to cover both of these. Also the window cleaner needs paying which I always forget to budget for! Need to remember these things!!!
Have a lovely evening allLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Happy St Patrick's Day turtles - I actually forgot until I saw Martin this morning.
ccl such good news about your OH.
Calling happy new haircut.
greent you are doing well with the boy's bedrooms and clearing the clutter.
Bob :j:j:j 33% :j:j:j in less than a 1/4 of the year.
Fmess good luck with stretching the tutoring money and enjoy your socialising.
I am working on a few storage problems, solving them one box at a time. Have also found a way forward with something that was overwhelming me, following a tip on another thread. Received a somewhat worrying letter about my WTC - knew it was changing for the worse next year but this is a different ball game.
New glasses have arrived (£93.20 with voucher - think voucher is about £80) and went for Indian Head massage this afternoon. She concentrated mainly on my shoulders and upper back as I was very tense - wonder why? Felt so much better and part way through I could see blue and green (with my eyes closed). Therapist was impressed.
DS2 has just called to borrow some money as he has miscalculated something. Only till next week and for the first time in two years. I told him it is my house repairs money. However I realised that the reason I had less money than expected when I counted up a couple of weeks ago, is that DS1 has already borrowed (starting a new job and will miss the first pay cycle). So I have as much money (possibly more) as I should have - was worrying that I had frittered it away without realising:o.
Today I am grateful for new glasses (the others were seriously irritating me)
for Indian head massage (and auras, chakras or whatever)

What a difference 24 hours can make...
I'll start with the good news. I exercised. Swimming at 6.30 am. :T
I didn't buy any coffee outside and took my flask with me.:)
I didn't buy lunch as I took it with me.:)
OK, good news over
I ate so badly...chocolate and crisps in large quantities. I purchased shopping that wasn't essential. No recycling. No facing up to previous avoidances. No household improvements in fact, adding to household chaos dishes etc....:(
As my school report once said 'must do better'
I hope you did do better fellow turtles!

Quick check in from me after another hectic day. I was on the go from 7am until 9pm doing various things. I'm still really short of free time in general but there were a couple of other things on top of it today as well - lost my free at work due to staff absence. Had a meeting with the Head about work/life balance and not stressing. DH went into work again, which is brilliant, but left me with the cheerleading run so I didn't get stopped for ages.
I am relaxing now though. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt

Thanks Mothernerd - my haircut is horrid looks as if I have a feather cut. Hoping it grows soon. Why did I go? It looked better before.?
So happy its Friday and managed to sleep until 6am this morning before the coughing took hold. Been 4 am all week so marked improvement today.
Not spendy today takes me to 8/16 SFD halfway there.
Food spent 48/85 so happy there, lots in as well.
Made a chilli last night so glad I did, made my chest feel less sore. Looking forward to leftovers tonight. Still unable to drink wine which I opened a week ago so unless I can cook anything in it, may be binned. Hate waste.
No plans for the weekend probably see Gs one day and may wrap up and do Nat Trust garden other day.
I not up to pub night out yet plus shifted more money across to my cc today so broke until next Thursday.
Enjoy weekend everyone xLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Calling it could be worse. My hair is lovely - the Indian head massage woman said so - mainly because I have just let it grow for the past two and a half years. Just my face letting me down. I last went to the hairdresser 7 years ago, for DS2's 21st party. My hairdresser had just been selected as an MP and was elected shortly afterwards. I used to do it myself when I was younger and I could still see the back using a mirror. Now I tend to chop it off when i have been ill or painting and it gets full of knots or my head is too sore to comb.
I promise there is light at the end of the tunnel with this bug. I have stopped using cough medicine and no longer have to sleep 1/2 sitting up because of the coughing. Still slower and weaker than I would like but I am feeling brighter and walked to counselling appointment and back (last week the library was my limit.
Will go and find something inspiring to quote. maybe a song lyric (Things can only get better - no still too soon). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0
