Will certainly keep my fingers crossed for you! I don't know what's worse exchanging months and months before completion or a matter of days before! Hope it all goes well, it will be nice for you to get in a bit sooner!0

Yes we complete on the 30th, just 5 more sleeps eeek!
Went and signed the last few things today at the solicitor for the title deed along with the declaration of trust.
Finish packing this weekend and wait for a phone call on Wednesday!0 -
Super exciting for everyone to be in for christmas.
We're due to complete on the 16th, so awaiting notice.
We have arranged our flooring seperate to the developer, as we wanted different options. Everything is being fitted on the 20th, with Sky hopefully being installed on the 21st.
Lee111s you mentioned you had a couple issues, what sort of things if you don't mind me asking? Having paranoia the house won't be as we expect, so desperate to be in before christmas too!0 -

Nothing major really. One part of the ceiling under one of the staircases has flaking paint due to being painted when the plaster was still wet but that had been sorted when we went in this morning.
A couple of the fireproof door strips that sit in the frames hadn't been glued down quite enough, again this was sorted when I went in today.
One of the kitchen drawers doesn't shut quite as it should, Bellway use a company, Roundel, to fit the kitchens and this has been raised with them to come back and take a look.
One of the pop up plugs on one of the en suite sinks was stiff, also now sorted.
Kitchen appliances weren't in on Wednesday, but again, they were this morning.
There's always going to be some issues when you buy a new build. Nothing outstanding at the minute would be cause for concern and certainly won't stop us moving in.0 -
We had a call from site to let us know there has been a leak in the kitchen and some units need replacing because of water damage. Apparently it isn't too severe but we can't go and see until it's all repaired as site have taken the keys back

Thanks Lee111s thats good to know. Fairly simple stuff, and sounds all fixable.
I understand there will be issues with a new build, just worrying we won't be able to move in. Were currently in rented and have given notice, so really need to be in before the 23rd to save camping out at other people houses!0 -

Oh no kirstypoos, do you know at this stage if it will delay anything? I really hope it doesn't.0 -

If the house is ready to pass the cml sign off (can't be far away if you're expecting the 16th, then I would very much doubt anything will be bad enough to prevent you completing.0 -

Apparently not according to site but I've just been down to peer through the windows and there are dehumidifiers in the kitchen/diner, lounge and hallway plus all skirting and architraves have been ripped off (literally, they are all over the hall floor in broken pieces):j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

It may seem alarming but it won't be the first time they've had a leak. They'll know how to deal with it to ensure it causes no issues going forward0
