Oh no emmahayward89
What a nightmare, they really don't understand that every day they sit on information like that puts you in so much more of a difficult situation
Hope you can get something sorted out.
We've been served notice this afternoon so all good for completion on the 7th, can't believe it's finally happening but all too aware that something can go wrong!0 -
House was supposed to be CML'd last Friday, that didn't end up happening.
Was supposed to be CML'd today, again didn't happen.
Now set for this coming Friday but I don't have much hope for it actually going ahead.
If it's not done on Friday we will have to ask if our lender will extend our mortgage offer too.
Getting very fed up and stress levels are very high right now.0 -
Hope it gets sorted on Friday for you Graciepie88 what is your planned completion date?:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

We don't have one, our contract has 20 working days notice but that will now take us past our mortgage expiry date. So, if by some miracle the house is actually signed off on Friday the latest date we could complete before our offer expires is the 6th of January.
The girl at the site couldn't care less, I have to ring to find out that the CMLs aren't happening, she doesn't inform me.
I feel sick at the thought that we won't get an extension. It's also so embarrassing every time someone asks how the house is going and all I want to do is cry about it0 -
Sounds terrible for you.
Would your builder allow completion earlier or would that not suit you? Our CML sign off is this Friday and we are down to complete on Friday 16th, everyone has agreed we don't have to stick to the notice period which would take us up to 23rd Dec for a completion date :j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

I totally feel your pain! Our CML sign was supposed to be last week, then we were promised an update Monday and didn't get one. Conviently the girl at our site doesn't work Tuesdays and Wednesday now we're waiting until Thursday.
It's painful, I feel like I have to email or ring every single day just to find out things she should be telling us.
Our notice is 10 days, our solicitor has said that due to our lender needing 7days notice we're getting into Christmas week now.
Totally get the "how's the house" comments, and people saying "oh won't you be in by Xmas/new year" makes me want to cry too!
This final bit has just sucked the excitement out of me!0 -
Kirstypoos: well, considering they will be in breach of the contract next Wednesday (that's our long stop date) then yes, I suspect we will be allowed to complete to meet the offer if that happens!
We only had 20 days put in to try and save on paying rent and a mortgage for 1.5 months. At this stage, we just want everything to be done and the house to actually be ours.
Would you actually move on the 23rd?!
Emma: it is beyond frustrating isn't it? I would have thought they would keep people updated as it's their balls up but no, every time I have had to ring her and chase.
Also can't stand going in our spare room at present as it's full of things we've bought to go in the house and seeing it just makes me angry and upset!
It kind of helps I work in a firm of solicitors and therefore I know my solicitor personally. She's being really good and saying not to worry, it will be fine. I just hope she's right!0 -
Ouch! I really hope they get it sorted now then. Would there be any recompense for having to pay rent and mortgage from the builder?
Our buyer has point blank refused to move after 16th Dec so if we aren't good to go then, we have to wait until New Year.:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

So today is our home demo. I'm excited to get in and see the house - we haven't seen it for a few weeks because of the leak. I'm not really sure what to expect though, how long it will take or what will really happen during it.
Any insight anyone?:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Mine was around 2 hours. Went through everything from kitchen applinces, heating, meters, stop valve locations, any obvious major snags that jump out at you and just a general chat with the builder really.
They had a long checklist of things they needed to go through with us.0
