You guys got lucky! Our charge is £423 per annum, but I think this is mainly due to a smaller site, think there's only 18 plots on our site.

ouch. Ours is 34 plots and its £150.

I think most people exchange a while before completion, ours was meant to exchange 2 months ago. Luckily as this isn't our 1st home we have furniture, we'll just replace it gradually.

I think ours is £120 but we are not liable until TW have finished and left the development which will be in about 3-4 years time

Wow that's good.... We are TW and our development we are moving to has been going a few years already and has another approx 2 years to go. We have to pay once we move in, because there is street lighting existing road maintenance to cover. This is a bit rubbish as some of the park space will not be finished for a couple of years.

Would of loved a nature reserve or riverside !:p

Did a sneaky drive by this morning on our development - we're nearly up to door height - not bad considering it was a slab on Sunday gone. Starting to feel real :)

    Hello!

Looks like everyone's keeping well and lots of new developments :)

All been quite quiet on our front, but drove up the other day and they are just doing the roof! Also we have windows!! I got ridiculously excited at this ha!! The small things :) although the windows have that film on so I am worried soon I won't be able to nosy at what's going on inside lol!

I popped by, just to ask if they had heard anything. nope.

Checked in on the house and they have stopped building on our plot entirely.

Yay! for those exchanged - congratulations

We have service charges £200 for the year.

We did a similar thing, we got the living room, stairs, all bedrooms in carpet, then vinyl in the upstairs bathrooms. We are going to fit our own decent laminate flooring to the kitchen/dining/utility plus the hall and WC. The cost to get them to do it was about £2k, and they would have still had the edging strips round (which I hate). It is costing us £500 all in as there is no labour cost, and the site manager got the skirting boards just tacked on so we can remove with minimal damage and floor under them, it might be an idea if you ask the same

Thanks for the tip about the skirting boards Hou! I'm wanting laminate in the living room but wasn't sure what the edging was going to look like so I'll ask if they can just tack the skirting boards on :)

Not a problem at all, mine were happy to do it. Also provided a sample of our flooring and underlay for the WC and they made a plinth to sit the toilet on so we just have to swap it for the flooring :)
