Thanks for that, £4.99 not bad if it keeps the cats away.

Try to tolerate it and dont let it annoy you. Its not the end of the world if they poo in your garden. Really. It is considered lucky for a cat to come into your garden. Thats true. I wouldnt try to get rid of good luck if I had the chance.:beer:0

Water pistols are the best deterrant to cats but obviously you have to be there to "shoot" them with it!
A Luger would be better!0 -
I have has many a heated discussion regarding this matter with a very close friend who sees absolutely nothing wrong with his cat using other peoples gardens as its toilet. His neighbours have asked him to clear the mess up as they have small children in a small garden and there is a health hazard apart from it just not being "nice".My friend took great offence and refused to clean the mess.also stating his cat was a wild animal (who lives in his house !).I asked how he would feel if the neighbour let her 2 small children use his garden as a toilet... he said this was not the same at all and he would call the police! But of course poo is poo and fair is fair!Cats are wonderful furry company but I do not see why I should have their poo in my garden - If you have an animal look after it and clear up after it. I like the idea of a water pistol..I have been using a bucket up to now and must admit feel a little guilty!I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0

why do you want them in the first place?
let me see one in my garden and I'll peel their skin off
Thats disgusting, especially since you have a not so nice animal on your own avatar.
Secondly, its none of your business why we would want pets in the first place. I like pets. End of Story.
And thirdly, I'd like to 'peel the skin off' stupid smelly and drunken humans who attempt to break into my house at 3am, or if that is too much effort, pee on my patio. I think THAT is more distasteful - Humans should know better.

I agree. I have a cat, and she is an indoor cat for two reasons, humans, traffic and trains are too dangerous, and I wouldnt want her peeing etc in other peoples gardens, especially when I know how irritating the same human behaviour is (see earlier post....!!)
If she was an outdoor cat, it is quite difficult to run around picking up their mess, simply because they dont travel like dogs do, i.e with human company. However, I would make a point of letting as many neighbours know which cat is mine, and they could alert me at any time should their be a 'problem' that needed clearing up!! And I would offer to pay for a deterrent in anyones garden that she regularly 'used'. Failing that, she'd be back indoors!
All pet owners should be responsible, as should parents of children (but I wont go into detail - not pleasant at all!)

think about it, daughters love their cats more than their parents... you forgot to feed the a cat and that could be a ground for a row...
Yeah, I'm cruel, but may be because I'm jealous of them, people prefer to care pets more than their relatives.
I have nothing against you if you like to have a pets, but don't let them in fooul my garden.
Look, your pet is in my garden, making a mess of it, and I' the evil one after all...
Dont think for a second we dont appreciate the fact that it is an annoyance, but I think your attitude is exactly why people responded to you as such. As for people liking their pets more than their relatives - SO WHAT???? Some blokes I know care more about their cars, or their motorbikes, than visiting their elderly relatives or whatever - but that is personal preference - and while im on the subject - some people dont even LIKE their family, at least they CHOSE their pets.
I do totally sympathise with your annoyance with the mess, but please, try and control yourself, and go and buy some deterrent - im sure the owner of the cat will chip in for the cost.....

When you have to clear it up every single day it does begin to feel like it's the end of the world.
If I wanted to spend my time clearing up cat s**t I would have my own cat :mad:0 -
