I have had an electonic animal scarer in my garden for about two years now because my next door neighbour takes in every stray cat and so every stray cat was straying in my garden to do its business, Since having it i have had to clear mess about four times in two years instead of four times a day!! They cost about £20/30 and it works0

The best way not to get cats to poo in your garden is ......... get a cat. Since my cats arrived no cat dares come in my garden plus cats dont poo on their own patch. Mine go next door to my neighbours lovely rose bushes.... luckily my neighbour loves my cats too and he has fewer cats digging up his garden since mine arrived. If you cant beat them join them !!!0

100% guaranteed way to get rid of Cats:
A 177 or even better a 22 air pistol ….no cat = no cat !!!!!!!
I’ve also herd that if you manage to catch a Starfish from the seaside & feed this to cats that it does them in
… I feel the air pistol method is more humane as you then don’t need to kill the starfish!0 -
I got an electronic cat box. The instructions said never turn it on near a cat. Well how else would you test it? I set it up and placed it near our cat, and... nothing, the cat didn't even wake up. So that went straight back.
My main garden problem is a mole, it's causing havok with what's left of the lawn.
And where moley makes his mole hill, all the local cats pop round to poop on the nice soft soil. Double trouble!!!
How do I get rid of moley first, then I'll deal with the cats??0 -
Get an asprin and put it inside a little ball of uncooked minced beef. Then place it in your garden near the area the cat does the business.
Cat will eat it and get *slightly* sick, it won't die or anything but it is a guaranteed way to make sure it won't come back. :-)0 -
Looking through the vinegar tip bit of this site last night..(yes I know.. no life!) someone said they soak used tea bags in vinegar and put them around there pond as cats hate vinegar and this worked for them.... not tried it but so cheap to try it may be worth ago.0

Eagle_1 wrote:I challenge you to try it, im that confident that if you buy cloves of garlic and chop it in small pieces you will get rid of cats.
I thought exactly what you did, but tried it anyhow and its the best thing I ever did.
You are right garlic is a strong smell, exactly why the cats wont use your pots/borders as a litter tray, thats the fresh garlic anyhow.
We have just put a load of stones on our front garden and one of the neighbours cats think its a giant cat litter box, would the garlic work on stones as well as grass??NEVER REGRET ANYTHING THAT MAKES YOU SMILE:D
