I'm sure its probably already been covered but dont waste money on that "Silent roar" stuff..

Its supposed to be Lion poo which is meant to put the cats off coming into your garden "because of the scent of a bigger cat", however although lions are "big cats" they are a different species and it has NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER on domestic cats - anyone that has used it and managed to stop the cats pooing must just be coincidence.

I can vouch for this 100% as I did some work at a big cat sanctuary last year and one of the jobs was cleaning out the lion house (if you think cat poo stinks you havent smelt anything compared to a lion house!) obviously I had this scent on my shoes when I got home, my cats just came up to me as normal and sniffed my shoes and walked off didnt seem concerned about it whatsoever, the shoes were kept in a hallway next to their litter tray, it didnt stop them using that though..
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

Ah but if you had thirty tons of lion poo and nothing specific to do with it....;)

That's what I love about this thread, it turns up the most interesting anecdotes.

Set a poo to deter a poo. Makes purrfect sense, doesn't it?:rotfl:
  • We have chickens ducks cats plus worms slugs and snails and of course nearly forgot the fish and oh yeah the frogs neighbours are foxes badgers rabbits squirrels loads of birds to name just a few. We all live happily together chicks and hens are protected of course really needed.... Nature is wonderful is it not. Dianne

actually you read my thoughts, to simply lay down obstacles seems to be a good idea.

No, you read mine, islandman as I put it on this thread last year and have been doing it for over 5 years now. ;) It does work though which is more than any electric devices or the Lion dung stuff.

Go for the holly etc, far cheaper and effective!
