They are probably all off in YOUR gardens now, pooing and peeing merrily away!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
There is a product called Roar, which is a simulated Lions poo which is supposed to be good for keeping cats & other animals away from plants.
I'm a cat owner, so a cat lover, but when I had a neigbours cat do his business regularly on the flat roof of my extension I tried everyting possible to put him off. Roar, gell, citrus peel, the lemonade bottle trick, a length of hose ( supposed to make the cat think it's a snake, which they are said to be scared of), ultrasonic pet scarer, plants that cats are supposed to hate the smell of- forget the name of them now. Nothing worked though & over the years that I lived there the furry blighter ruined my roof.
The only thing that put paid to him was getting the roof recovered, the more up to date covering didn't have the loose pebble covering, so obviously not so attractive to him. What a huge relief to me.
He started to do all of his poo's on the roof of his own house extension, so gave his owners a taste of having to squeeze out of the bedroom window upstairs to shovel it up.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

Pee in the corner of your garden, you're a bigger mammel. Did this at our old house after the kept pooing on our lawn, it was several months before we saw a cat again and we were surrounded by them!
Alternatively J Parkers do 'Cat Shoo' a plant they supposidly don't like, I haven't planted mine out yet so don't know if it works!
We have net over the raised beds, probably the simplest solution, keeps the birds off as well.0 -
My mum and dad have two cats and there are loads around the neighbourhood. My dad sprinkles chilli powder around anywhere he doesn't want them to go, seems to work ok!

Electric fences ??
how about poison?
Anyone suggest one??
I absolutely HATE cats.
Why should someone else's pet use MY garden as a loo?
Dog owners collect their poo ( well most of them anyway!).
this makes me so mad.
Dare say loads of cat lovers will complain about this, but if they choose to keep one of these semi wild creatures, why in God's name, can't they keep them in control and not let them cr*p in my garden??

I love my garden but have a huge problem with cats fowling in my garden/path by backdoor.
It's ialways in the same place nearly every day.
I have done the following/to my garden path and by the backdoor
put mirrors in my garden
put full bottles of water in my garden
costing my a fortune buying get off and cat crystals.
Nothing works
Serious, besides purchasing lion dung from the zoo does anyone have any
help regarding my situation.0 -
Have you tried one of the electronic cat repellents?0

Are you sure its cats? Unusual for them to foul on the path as they usually prefer to bury their mess.
Badgers, foxes and, of course, dogs are more likely to "mess & go" leaving a calling card for you!Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
It's not unusual for cats around here to poo on the path/drive/road and every where else. If it's always in the same place I would clean it up and wash th earea down with jeyes fluid so it gets rid of their smell and then try and block off the area to the for a while. It's the only thing I have tried. I did have some success with the ultra sonic thing but mines broken now after the wind blew it away and smashed the casing0

Hmm... when you clean up an area that cats have been using you need to use a cleaner that does NOT have ammonia in it. Cats apparently love the smell. Beats me why - but there ya go
If you make up a strong solution of bio washing powder and clean with that - the bio bit gets rid of all the "animal fluids and residue" and with luck they'll stop finding that spot so attractive. Leaving the area well soaked and still covered in your solution may also help too.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
