Yeah, because abandoned cars are much worse than 3 accident that could have been prevented if the driver had stopped and abandoned their car or actually fitted All Season or Winter tyres.

Are you going to tel everybody what your previous sign in name was? And in fact if you only have one account at the moment?

So all three cars were on summer tyres? Another assumption and we thought you stuck to facts.

£32 a corner plus fitting, I gave £30 all in as I wanted four new valves aswell.

So a brand new set of matched Winter tyres for under £160.

I honestly can't see the downside.

Nokian Weatherproof would have been an extra £16 a corner.

    A no brainer really.

Might put Nexen Summer tyres on it for the rest of the year.

But like many who like to start arguments you haven't given an alternative have you?

And have deftly side stepped the point about the Nexen WH2 tyre scoring well in reviews and having a B for Wet Braking.

Is a B not good enough for £32 a corner?

so you have spent £160 on a set of cheap korean winter tyres and now you are trying to tell us that you thinking of spending another £160.00 on another set of cheap korean summer tyres

for £320.00 you could have fitted some really good quality four season tyres so are your cheap korean tyres really such a bargain?

He's talking about michelins so that's £240. So he's taking about a £400 spend on a grand car. You think a so called advanced driver would be OK on a mid range tyre.

But for the price of one set of tyres I will have two sets of tyres.

Which means they will last twice as long.

Actually I might buy a third set.

    Why not at these prices.

    Would be silly not to.

Been pretty cold today, below freezing last night on the way home, glad I had the foresight to fit Winter tyres!

I can now confirm, due to standing water on the way to Lakeside, that the Nexen Winguard Snow G WH2 is indeed very good at dealing with standing water, specifically the kind that catches people out on a narrow A Road with cars coming he other way, car in front had some serious steering tug going by the way he swerved as he his it.

The well priced B Rated for Wet Braking Nexen Winguard Snow G WH2 cut through the standing water like a warm knife through butter, either Salted or Non Salted.

If only they had bought Winter or even All Season tyres!

Probably reckon they are a waste of time due to it not snowing!

    Time for a link!

    http://pneusnews.it/2015/07/13/nexen-presenta-il-winguard-snowg-wh2-il-pneumatico-dei-record/

An interesting bit of info relating to Winter tyres, specifically the Nexen Winguard Snow G WH2, and aquaplaning.

But what would they know, daft engineers......

Interestingly they have a research and development centre in Europe.
  • The link might be useful or prove your point. But as its not in English who knows?

The life of a troll eh?

Are you going to tell us what your previous sign in name was?

    Was it BykerSands?

I'm fact are you replying to your other sign in names?

I have had one sign in name full stop.

Like some people recently PPR'd you have no real intention of adding to the forum, just online trolling.

With the stand by tactic of quoting somebody out of context to try and make a point.

If only they had Winter or All Season tyres in Forza or Gran Turismo, that would certainly give you a chance to sample the differences.

Maybe you could tell us, I've never played them. However they appear to be a favourite topic of yours.

but are you going to keep your bargain basement Berlingo long enough to fully wear out two or even three sets of tyres ?
  • Just thought I'd chip in. I've been driving round all winter on the summer tyres that came with my car. So far my journeys have been completed without incident - not even the traction control light coming on.

All for £0 additional investment and I didn't even have to resort to buying some obscure brand of tyre.
