For someone who comes across having extensive knowledge on vehicles or at least has a comment to make on nearly every thread in the motoring section, do you think 2 days is enough to come to your decision?
So far you haven't driven with them in any extreme conditions, so maybe a bit too early to tell.
Did I say the opinion was based on thousands of miles? Or driving in extreme conditions?
Or did I give an initial impression which was clearly indicated to be be based only on first impressions?
And yes I do have extensive experience and knowledge on driving and decent knowledge on vehicles in general.
The joys of being an experienced advanced driver I suppose.
But then you actually read that post and still felt the need to make your comments.
Fee free to put me in ignore if you don't want to read my opinions.
When do I have your permission to make another report on my findings?
Oh wait I don't need it.
One other point the magazine tests that everybody talks about are carried out in a short period of time, do you feel the need to contact them?
Or is the fact they have filmed thing snake a difference in some way?0 -

You're a bit touchy aren't you?
As an advanced driver couldn't you give a better update than the are better in every way. Unless your original tyres were that bad, seriously worn and under inflated. I doubt I'd notice much difference in the driving to the shops you appear to have done so far.
Before you have another rant about your claims to be a superior driver. I too am an advanced driver.0 -

It was a straight up question, with a compliment of sorts which you missed
I was genuinely interested, but you appear to just want to snap and try to start arguments with genuine posters on here.0 -

Do you actually think that poster was genuine?
Or another one of BykerSands sign in names now that he has been banned?0 -

When you have been stalked by as many different sign ins as me hen you get touchy.
You clearly missed the fact that AlanCarter pooed up just as BykerSands got banned.0 -

But you missed that fact that I said it was an initial impression.
What did you expect?
The lateral G's before and after fitment?0 -
It's been a very mild winter here in the deep north. Hardly worth getting winter tyres now.0

The part of the tyre that is in contact with the road is roughly the size of a fist, X 4 (4 tyres) if your happy to buy a budget tyre good for you, but remember you get what you pay for, the branded tyres are a lot dearer for a reason, normally better performance in all conditions, better rated fuel economy and quieter, they will more often then not also last slot longer.0

But the OP thinks it's value for money to buy and fit budget winter tyres in the middle of the mildest "winters" we've had for years as well as believing that they outperform standard tyres in this weather.Deleted_User wrote: »It's been a very mild winter here in the deep north.
