Shopping was a doddle. I decided to go to the smaller Asda…..no problem parking and no queue. Only setbacks were very short use by dates on some of the stuff I wanted so I bypassed them and will nip out again. The other setback was I couldn’t use my £20 Asda rewards as the system had crashed because so many folk were trying to use them. I did however use my savings card and felt such a buzz spending £200 and not having to pay for it 😄😄😄😄(yes I know I’d already paid for it by putting input on the card BUT it FELT like free shopping) I still have £70 on the card and £20 on my reward card so I’ll be quids in in the New Year.
The car will cost circa of £500 and won’t be able to be repaired until January. Mr M has just gone to take it from the garage to the carpark at work because it won’t make it home. I’m so pleased we didn’t get rid of the 2 nd car now as it has made it an inconvenience rather than a problem. Something to do with the air conditioning until seizing and the fan belt can’t go round 😏
I've just had a phone consultation an hour late about my ankle….and no apology- whereas if the NHS consultant from the private hospital is 5 minutes late - he apologises profusely. Upshot is he will keep me on the books for more steroid injections to ward off surgery….which he told me not to think about yet as I’m only a young woman 😂😄👍 I’m warming to this doc. 👍👍😂
The meal last night was nice. There were only 6 of us there. I did sit next to the same man who I have decided could well have Aspergers…..he brought his girlfriend who was definitely on the spectrum and was talking to me about the challenges she faces. That explained the cricket chat last time. It opened my eyes a bit.Right I feel I’ve had a wasted morning hanging about for appointments but so much easier waiting at home rather than a hospital.
if I don’t get chance to get on here before Christmas.
Thankyou to listening to my ramblings and

Ahhhhhhh😱 been busy doing the last bits and pieces today so Dh said he’d do tea. He put wedges in the oven, he suddenly said those wedges are taking a long time. Checked them and the oven was barely warm 😱😱looks like the element has gone. It’s a double oven so we put them in the other one…..could make for an interesting Christmas 🎄 😏😳😱😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂toddles off laughing hysterically 😂😂😂😂😂😂January spends - £587.580

You can guarantee when one things goes something else will 😩 When my old main oven broke I had to start using the smaller one which I’d never used before, turns out it was much better than the main one 😆 Deep breath and keep calm 🙏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

It’ll be fine SA….if the worse comes to the worse. I’ll throw son in law in the garden and he can bbq the turkey. I’d thought of changing venue to ds house but all the food is here and I’ve just about managed to get it in the fridge and freezer…..where it will stay until it’s eaten 👍Like I say could be interesting 😂
Just hope the 3rd thing isn’t the fridge,freezer whilst it’s full 😏 hope I haven’t temped fate 🤞January spends - £587.580 -
Oh no to the car and the oven. Fingers crossed number 3 won’t happen as a Christmas miracle! I’m sure you will have a fabulous Christmas regardless. Often the best Christmases are the ones where things happen. You could be talking about the bbq turkey for years to come ♥️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I was born worrying, you know the kind. If I had nothing to worry about I would worry about that.. My fridge & freezer & oven are just about the only things I haven't replaced for in one case 30 years. The freezer can break but not until tomorrow please. The other 2 please wait until Monday or even better Tuesday. But we all know that they break at the worst possible time don't they.Have you tried what my DS always has me do. Turn it off for 20 secs then turn it back on again. The things that works on is utterly amazing.0

Oh Milann what a pain about the oven and the car - here’s hoping there isn’t a third thing!I love bread sauce - we never had it in my family so I wasn’t introduced to it until I met MrEH - now it’s one of my favourite Christmas foods - And the smell of the milk steeping is the first proper foody smell of the season for me!
