  • Those cakes look lovely @milann. Sounds like you have lots of jolly Christmas festivities going on. Sorry your arm is giving you grief though.

The cakes look gorgeous! 60 mince pies 😱

I always manage to get sat next to someone crying at work Christmas meals and end up listening to their woes.

Dh took about 20 mince pies into work Beanie so it isn’t as bad as it sounds 😂
Just had a phone call from Dh - the car had a warning light on and then wouldn’t restart. Luckily it’s in his works carpark and there is a garage next door. They can’t fit it in until tomorrow though so I need to pick him up from work tonight and they’ll look at it tomorrow. Just what we need a couple of days before Christmas. Would have been a lot worse if I’d have got rid of my car like we contemplated last year. Just hope it not too expensive.
I’ve written my shopping list - fortified myself with porridge, raspberries  and tea and am off to battle my way through Asda. Can’t decide whether to stay fairly local or travel a bit further to the bigger one. I’ve been saving in their savings scheme so I’ll be happy not to have to pay cash……I’d better not need cash as I have a good amount on my card.🤞
Mmmmm I’ve just made bread sauce for the first time. Not sure if it’s right or not…it’s not something I’m partial too it but son in law likes it. It’s a bit nondescript to me - but it’s made and in the freezer now. I made triangular flapjacks yesterday which I’ll turn into Christmas trees and coconut macaroon pyramids which I’ll drizzle chocolate on to represent trees. I’ve got a couple people coming who don’t eat gluten and I’d like to offer them something. Then tomorrow I’ll bone and stuff the turkey legs and relax until everyone arrives on Friday.

Gorgeous cakes, @milann. Just doing mine this morning but it won't look as professional as that!
Haven't made a single mince pie yet.
