  • Just to add about m&s, they now use Evri to deliver (😭), so my order that was due Friday is in the wind somewhere or other! Why can’t companies just use Royal Mail!  We don’t have a local store and it definitely puts me off ordering…sigh.
i hope you have a happy Saturday ⭐️

I went to pick my parcel up at the 2 nd M&S we went to. I checked my bank for any refunds and took a photo of the statement before we went that were saying they’d taken the cash for the one I’d ordered which was a no show and for the newly ordered one……with  no refunds. Man took my receipts and went in the back to get in touch with customer services….he was gone ages. He came back livid…..not sure what they’d said but he said he wasn’t having it and he would sort it for me….he wasn’t having me trailing back across town to the big shopping mall. He went off again. We must have been waiting best part of an hour…..anyway he got the go ahead to refund my £18. He was full of apologies and said it just wasn’t good enough. I was so impressed with him as the problem wasn’t of his making. Lol once I saw the dressing gown I think it’ll bury my gdd. I got a bigger size but hopefully I’ve not gone too big 🤞
A friend I used to work with has taken early retirement and is moved to Turkey before Christmas. She’s having a drink in a local pub tonight for anyone who wants to pop in so I’m going along with another friend to say goodbye. I don’t see her often but we always just pick up where we left off.
I think sil enjoyed herself yesterday. She was ready when we arrived to pick her up….which is a first. We went to an out of town shopping outlet. She hadn’t been before and I think she examined every item of clothing in every shop 😳 we had a coffee there before heading to the illuminations and cafe where we had tea. She was suitably pleased with her fish and chips as she could choose a small portion. I had a delicious home made lasagne which seems to have been £7.50 forever. I expected them to have gone up in price. We drove along the lights which she hadn’t seen for years. She seemed ok and was reasonably positive. I think she might go to her dds for Christmas but she knows the offer to come to us is there if she wants it.

I’ve just been online and recommended the 2 staff at my 2nd  M&S shop who sorted things fo me for good customer service. I also had a bit of a moan about the big shopping mall and the service there. Hopefully it’ll be passed on to the staff as I know some companies have reward systems in place. I’m always there for a moan but do like to commend good service too 👍

    They do.
I think it’s £15 for the staff if they are mentioned by name.

Thanks Beanie….I hope they get something as the difference between the 2 shops was incredible. M&S at its best and worse.
I enjoyed saying bye last night to the lady I used to work with. I’ve worked closely with her in 2 schools. I had expected to see some people from the schools we worked in  but there was only myself and the friend I went with so I’m glad I made the effort. I was home and tucked up before 10 though…..I know how to party 😂😂

I’d hoped for a lazy day yesterday but the weather was so beautiful it was a shame not to go out. Ds came around and we went to a local NT. There are lots of woodland walks, gardens and an old cotton mill there. We just went around the gardens….I was tired so it was enough for me yesterday. We’d contemplated eating out as I’d not organised anything but weve eaten out a lot recently. I didn’t really want to spend the price of a meal or eat too many calories. I raided the freezer as I didn’t have a clue what we had in. I’ve not eaten at home for best part of a week 😳 Anyway I had 3 portions of chicken and fennel I’d cooked a while back - served it with rice and stir fry veg that were looking very sorry for themselves in the bottom of the fridge. A meal fit for a king 😃👍😂 I also found home made lemon cake in there too 👍 so I turned what have could have been a very spendy day into a NSD 😃
I should be doing all sorts of housework but I’m shattered so will be doing the bare minimum. I also need to do some shopping and get myself organised.
Since I transferred most of my money into savings accounts i really need to keep my eye on the money ball so I don’t go into my overdraft….so I need to get a grip on things.
