Glad it’s not just me EH.
I have done a bit of ironing today. Only the absolutely most creased. I have ended up washing some things again though as they smelt awful…..dank and musty 🤢 They’ve been on the maiden since weekend and still don’t feel properly dry. I didn’t overload the maiden either. I’m going to have to wash more often so there’s even less on the maiden. I am trying to get more wear before a wash on some clothes but it isn’t always possible. There are sometimes little bag accidents 🙄 I really don’t want to buy another maiden as it’s my pet hate seeing washing hanging around. How do families go on. There are only 2 of us. Anyway I ended up putting the heating on for an hour to air them on the radiator. At least the house is nice and warm. I’d planned on hoovering the house but I’d done enough after ironing and putting it away. It’s not too bad really.
I’ll do it tomorrow leaving everywhere tidy because, on Friday we want to be on the road before 7 am to take Millie for her hab check. It’s in Wales so we’re hoping to stay in a pub carpark at a resort further down the road where there’s a Christmas weekend….not sure if it Victorian or Dickensian but as long as it’s not too wet it should be good. On Saturday we’ll visit a town on our way home which also has a Christmas market we’ve never visited before. Of course this is weather dependent- we could well just drive the hour and a half  back home.
I’ve just tried to load the Morrison’s app on my phone but my phone isn’t having it. It keeps telling me I’ve got no storage and it’s so slow. I really need to keep my eye out for a new phone. I’ve had this one 5 years so it’s not done too badly.

Ds messaged me with a link to a phone at JL. Will have a drive out to investigate later.

Good luck for Millie's hab check.

We are booking Milo's in with a chap who lives just up the road from us. He will come and do it at the house for us. He is NCC and VAT registered so it will keep up our warranty as well. Happy days.

Have you thought about buying a heated clothes horse?  My DD has one from Lakeland and they are still very economical to run even with the electric price hikes. You can also buy them with a sort of tent like cover to put over which dries your washing even quicker.
Have a good trip on Friday. 👍

I’d thought about a heated airier SG but the one I’ve seen takes up so much room. Can’t remember where I saw it. I have relented and half dried bedding in the drier today 😏 I have cut the drier’s use by 95%.
It’s just a pity the weather is so wet RS….we’re taking Millie to where we bought it but it’s in Rhyl…..could be lovely in the summer but maybe not as much on a wet November day. I’m not expecting any problems and if there are any, they can sort it. A mobile test sounds great RS.
I should have done all sorts today but haven’t. I changed the bed but had to get Dh to wrestle with the duvet. We hoovered  the house and emptied Millie between us.
We nipped to JL but they’re not interested in giving me anything for my old phone. MEN😂😂😂 I’ve been telling Dh how slow my phone is for weeks. I’m sure he thought I was doing something stupid with it. But when he tried to use it today…..surprise surprise…..it really is slow 😂😂😂😂 The search continues……it’d help a bit if I knew what I was looking for 😉 it has paid for itself. I paid £120 for it and pay gif gaff £8 a month. I’ve had it nearly 5 years. There seems a great big jump in price though form £180 ish which isn’t in stock anywhere to high hundreds 😳😳😳 think I might be cadging ds old one 😉

Try CEX online for your phone. I've had one from there and they're honest enough about condition. As for Rhyl, I'd rather go when it's not packed. I took the House Troll there for his birthday one year because he had a teacher training day. As we were the only people in the aquarium, a lovely lady let him feed the harbour seals and he had a birthday kiss from a sea lion. It was one of his best birthdays ever. There were some interesting shops there too but we haven't been since lockdown so that might have changed.

    Thanks Cranky.
We travelled to take Millie Motorhome for the hab check. All was fine as I expected. We got them to check the shower which runs very hot…..so that’s all fine now. We travelled down in torrential rain but the sun came out as we arrived at the garage. We toddled off towards the sea front but the heavens opened again and the wind was howling and it was freezing cold. We made a quick retreat for a cafe for breakfast and then to the shops as we had been told 3 - 4 hours before the van was ready. I got a few bits for Christmas presents and ddi wonder how we’d pass the time. But it went very quickly and they phoned to say it was ready.
From there we travelled to a town a bit further along the coast where the Christmas extravaganza had been advertised. I was very disappointed as it wasn’t as nice as we expected. But the weather was cold even though it’d stopped raining - there weren’t many people around so there was no atmosphere which was a shame. Maybe it was better on the Saturday. We’d planned staying there overnight but decided to stay elsewhere. We travelled toward home and stayed overnight in a fantastic parking place on the banks of the river between Wales and home. We paid £15 for the 24 hours which was great. Ds came and met us and we had a bit of a walk along the walls. Ds treated us at dinner time then we went back to the van for a sit down and rest before going to the Christmas market there. That had much more atmosphere. We came home last night.
Ds has given me his old phone which we’ve used as a part exchange for the phone at JL to get the £100 discount 😃 Dh has picked it up this after for me and he cooked tea as I was totally pooped after my outing. I have left it charging and he will set it up for me
I’m at the hospital tomorrow morning at 7.30 as a day case for an injection in my ankle. I really hope it works as I can’t carry on as I am. Could barely put my foot on the floor today..
I need to do some number crunching as I’ve been spending quite a lot recently 😳 need to get a grip.
I had a visitor today. The front door was open as Dh was putting on everything we’d emptied out of the van back. A beautiful looking pigeon came into the living room…back into the hall - had a wander around the utility room. We wondered if it was a racing bird but we couldn’t see a ring. Then it flew onto the van and sat watching Dh…..wasn’t slightly scared of people 😂😂😂

I’m not usually a fan either Beanie - it just took me by surprise to find one in the house. I didn’t want to spook it and have it flying around. It was in about 10 minutes before it toddled out and flew on the van which was just outside the door.

I got a taxi back from the hospital so that was a tenner. It was £6 last time 😏 Better than Dh having time off work though. I’ve got a very swollen ankle and been told to take it easy for 48 hours. Got to admit it was the most painful injection I’ve had. Lots of tugging and pulling and several injections - not just the one as I’ve had previously. Anyway it’s done now. They’re sending a follow up appointment in 4 months.
I’m sitting feeling sorry for myself😂😂😂drinking copious amounts of tea and watching catch up tv 👍 Loads I should be doing but they won’t be happening today.
