  • Glad to hear you had a nice time with your friend.  Your NT ramble sounded lovely too. I wish I had a few NT places near to me. The nearest are a drive away and I don't drive. ☹️

We need to really consider whether we are going to keep our NT membership. We have really not used it this year at all and at about £10 per month that could be being better spent elsewhere I think.

I’ve got to admit we get great value from out NT. We have 3 properties within half an hour from us and several more a bit further out. We use it when we’re out and about in Millie Motorhome too. The only time I slipped up was to buy the gks a yearly pass at £10 each….but we didn’t see the gks on their own to take them as they moved house in the holidays- until a week after it ran out. So we could have just paid for the 1 visit for them but not much lost in the grand scheme of things.
I didn’t get to the shop so we will make do with what we have in until tomorrow.

Oh my goodness- I’m just watching strictly results show on catchup. The professional tribute in the red dresses with gents in tops and tails has just brought a tear to my eye. Not a word spoken but so moving.
I need to go shopping and really need to iron some clothes but I’m not convinced I can lift the iron. I might put them in the dryer for 10 minutes and fold them. I really can’t wear creased clothes.10 minutes in the dryer might use less electricity than over an hour ironing.
Whilst I’m watching Strictly I’ve noticed just how quickly most of them have stopped signing Thankyou….it was so nice last year when Rose was in and most of them signed.

I’ve just had a pleasant surprise. I’ve just got the £150 warm help discount letter through the post. I’d read that it was available for some people on ESA….but there are 2 categories of ESA and I didn’t think I’d get it. It says I don’t need to do anything but how do they know which energy supplier you are with?….and the bills are in my DH name. I’m assuming they’ll go by the address. I might get Dh to phone the energy supplier on Thursday. It’s nice when something your not expecting turns up. I really do need to familiarise myself with all the dds -  I’m more than capable but Dh has always set the dd up and then they take care of themselves. We discuss which providers we use for various bills and which accounts they go out of. It’s just the way we’ve worked…..he takes care of bills…..I take care of food, presents and houses things. Both are flexible though.
My letter from the hospital for my day case appointment on Monday has finally turned up. I was going to phone them as it’s a couple of weeks since they phoned me to tell me about it and I’d expected the letter last week. One of Dh birthday cards also turned up and it was posted on 2 nd November 😡 The post is so unpredictable atm.

I thought the £150 got paid into the same bank account the ESA does, like the PIP version does.

Badmemory it says on the letter my energy supplier will apply the discount by 31st March, any queries to  contact the energy supplier.
I’ve just been shopping. I’ve had to leave the boxes of Coke in the car for Dh to bring in….not sure how I managed to get them in the car as I struggled lifting them.😏 I didn’t actually need that much but had to stock up on basics. I still ended up spending £100 as I bought a few bits that were on offer for Christmas. It’ll save me buying them at a later date. I really do need to get organised with a list as the chocolates are already fairly well stocked 😏👍😂

So not the same then as my son's letter definitely says bank account & he has very kindly said he will tranfer it straight to me when he gets it.  But how can they pay it to your supplier unless your name is on the account?

As for the coke boxes, I can get them from the trolley into the boot.  From the boot to the house is a whole different ball game.  That's what my DS is for.

Badmemory ditto my Dh…..for helping push heavy trolleys in the shop and lugging the bags around. It is rather pathetic. If I’m on my own I half fill the bags in the boot of the car so I don’t need to lift them and carry them into the house  one at a time. Where there’s a will there’s a way 😂😂 Might take longer but it gets done 👍

  • I hate pushing supermarket trollies milann - being short I find even the small ones can be a struggle with a lot in them - and the large ones are an absolute no-no unless MrEH is there for the pushing!
