The restaurant sounded lovely.
My DS's birthday is 5 days before Christmas and DD's 2 weeks after. DD also shared her birthday with my mum. I didn't plan that very well did I 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
When I was thinking about having a child my mother said I must not have one born in March as she had too many then already. For once I did as I was told.

Happy belated birthday milann. 🎂. Sorry I missed it!😳. And happy birthday to Mr milann as well - he sounds like he was well taken care of at his birthday meal!🤪
On reading catch up with your diary you've had some lovely trips out - you and hubby always have such a nice time. 😃

Glad you had such a lovely time for the meal for DH's birthday. I confess as much as I love indian food I can't cope with indian restaurants as the service is usually too fussy and I can't cope with that - being fussed around makes me anxious. Well…..want a waste of an afternoon. I’m not impressed with M&S in the big shopping mall nearby. On Sunday we popped in whilst I was looking at phones in JL. I wanted pjs and dressing gowns as Christmas presents. They didn’t have everything I wanted so I bought what they had and put an order in for 1 item….they said it’d be ready by Tuesday. We toddled down to collect said item at big shopping mall this afternoon. There was no record of it when we entered details into the machine. The shop assisted tried and couldn’t find anything either so I showed her the receipt. After waiting about 20 minutes she appeared from the back….no order. It was out of stock 😡 so why did they take the order 😡 Apparently there were none available to order….but a different M&S which is near to ds house had 1 in stock. We dashed along the motorway to said shop…..none in stock. The lady there was extremely helpful. She said the order had been ordered and immediately cancelled and couldn’t understand why I’d been told they couldn’t order. Anyway I’ve re ordered and hopefully it’ll arrive shortly. What an absolute shambles. I need to check the cash has gone back to my account 😡😡 So I’ve not a clue what’s been going on😡
We popped into the Swedish shop which is virtually next door to the 2 nd M&S. I spent £10 on a few bits including candles just in case there is a power cut. Of course I didn’t actually need any of it 😏
This morning was far more productive. A saving account fixed for a year at 3.4% has been opened as well as an easy access savings account which doesn’t pay much with less than 1% but it’s more than it’s getting in my current account would be a bit fat ZERO.
We had a message back from Eufy about the hoover…..because we’d bought it from a website which isn’t one of their approved dealers they won’t cover the warranty. The site we bought it from is prepared to give a refund though. We didn’t want to cut our nose off to spite our face returning it and having to pay at lot more for another, so Dh has been doing research. He’s found a deal doing brand new ones for £99 so we’ve ordered one and will get a refund on the broken one…..the alternative was to buy a charging unit for £20 for the old one.January spends - £587.582 -

Milann, don't hold your breath for M&S refunds although you will get them eventually
OH ordered a suit 6/6/20 but they had to be ordered as jacket and trousers separately in order to specify chest size, inside leg etc. which made sense
Later on 6/6/20 notified that jacket was delayed
On 7/6/20 notified that trousers were ready for collection but jacket was cancelled
Advised them 7/6/20 that trousers were pointless without the jacket and cancelled order
Notified 10th and 15th June to collect trousers
20th June trousers refunded due to non collection
Jacket (which they never had) refunded 26th June
Major hassle but imagine if he needed that suit for something by a specific date and couldn't afford to wait for refunds!!!!!
Never used them again since and never will1 -
Sorry to hear all the palaver with M&S - they were always so efficient in the past. Sign of the times maybe...☹️Good news on the new savings accounts though. Every little helps as they say.....😉Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I couldn’t quite believe M&S. They’ll be getting the lot back if I can’t get the item I’d ordered. It was a dressing gown hoodie style…..I’d bought pjs and these hoodies for the gks - same style but differnt designs…..Harry Potter and Snoopy. I don’t want to give a set to one gk and not the other 😡
Ive had a banging headache this afternoon I’ve been wide awake since 4 am……getting my knickers in a twist about going and opening new bank accounts. No idea why as I’ve been going to do something about it for ages 🤷🏻♀️ Because I’m tired and been standing a lot waiting for answers in shops my hip and ankle have been trying to outdo each other…..so I’ve dosed myself up and am off to bed. Taking sil out for her birthday tomorrow. Won’t be anything taxing as she doesn’t like walking. It’ll either be a ride along the illuminations and tea in cafe or garden centre with nice Christmas stuff and pub lunch. Think I’ll be able to cope with that…..much better than sitting in her house 👍 Then I’m not planning on doing anything at weekend as I’m shattered after my busy week.January spends - £587.581
