Dh gave in and has put the heating on for an hour this morning. We had a new boiler in the summer and it’s first time we’ve used it for heating. I was rather pleased 😃 I’ve been trying to tough it out a bit longer 😏
We got a eufy stick vacuum cleaner earlier this year and it suddenly stopped working a couple of weeks ago. Ds has the same model so we took the battery and charged it there….so we knew it was the charger and not the battery. Dh has phoned them this morning and they’re sending paperwork through for us to complete for proof of purchase etc. If it goes as smoothly as they were saying I’ll be impressed with the customer service to sort it……watch this space.
Whilst I was at M@rrisons last night. I told them about the agro I’d had trying to install the app. The young lad on customer services was fab. I’d been trying to install the app. The app wouldn’t let me as it said my email was being used…..yes BY ME…..it wasn’t recognising my card number. I tried to phone customer services but it wanted to charge me £8 for the privilege 😳😳😳 I put the phone straight down but had a message from my phone provider saying I’d been charged for the call…..not sure how much until I get my monthly bill 😡 Anyway lovely lad has cancelled my card and ordered me a new one….will have to see if I can get the app now 🤞
It’s beautifully sunny here atm….long may it last 😃 don’t think it will as rain is forecast again 😉
All the extra food I’d bought and didn’t use for my visitors last week is now eaten or frozen so no waste 😃 Loving my little air fryer but wish we got a bigger one.
I’ve just watched a clip of Michael Parkinson on tv……what a shock. In my head he still looks as he did in the 70’s 😳😳 Still seemed a lovely down to earth chap though.
Right off to get something done….not sure what, but something 😂👍January spends - £587.581 -
Ugh - fingers crossed the call charge turns out not to be much - in case it helps in the future I can see they do have a standard number: Customer service: 0345 611 6111
Definitely no sign of any sun here at the moment - grey and miserable, although thankfully not the pretty much monsoon conditions we had last night!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Cloudy here at the moment. Think we have more rain due later on today. As you say. We desperately need it to top up the reservoirs.
Our heating hadn't clicked in this morning. But we did have the window shut last night. Was a bit too warm to be honest.0 -
Went to SlimmingWorld- stayed the same again. I was ok with this as I’ve not had my eye on the ball at all and I’ve been so tired I’ve taken things very easy with little exercise. I needed the rest time after a few busy weeks…..ready to start back swimming next week. Got to get the balance right though as having a lot of problems with my ankle, hip and arm 😏 I know I’m out for dh birthday meal and a meal with a friend next week. Need to choose carefully 👍January spends - £587.580

We’ve just had a power cut….all the alarms in the area are blaring away. Very strange - the tv turned itself on as the power came back. It had been on standby…….Hums tune to Moulder and Scully 😂😂😂😂😂January spends - £587.580

Thanks EH. We had an e mail asking us to send a video to show it’s not charging. I’m desperately trying to wear the battery we charged at ds house down so we can show it flat with no charging lights. I’ve never cleaned the carpet so much 😂😂😂😂😂RS the reservoirs we passed on our way to Sheffield last weekend were still really very low. We commented that it only seemed 5 minutes since the road was shut with all the rain which produced landslides causing the road to crack. Parts are still bing repaired but when you looked below the road, grass was growing where there should be metres of water 😳January spends - £587.581

We’ve had a renewal notice for the insurance for Millie Motorhome. Can’t believe we’ll have had it a year in a couple of weeks. Ds phoned up to query something and was chatting to man on phone…..as a result we have been looking at the prices of vans. 😱oh my goodness…..if we were to buy new this year the same van would be between 10 and 15 grand more than we paid and the only difference is a sat nav and heated front seat. If we were to buy our van second hand….we’d pay more than we paid new a year ago. Crazy 😳 We did something right and bought at the right time for once……I know it will depreciate in time but I’m still pleased we bought when we did. Couldn’t have afforded new now.
Just been with Dh to get some new fish for his tank. He’s kept fish since he was a youngster but I’ve never seen it looking as depleted as it is now. It’ll need another restock in a couple of weeks once these have settled in - doesn’t do to add too many at once.Spent £10 in Aldi…..need to check how much I’ve spent this month and begin to track my spends again.January spends - £587.581 -
Wow that year has gone by so fast. Definitely bought at the right time.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

It’s Dh birthday this week so we headed to his favourite Turkish restaurant in a town an hour away. They do a fab 2 course menu for £14 in the daytime….it’s always full so you need to get there early to avoid the queues. The plan was to eat, go to a museum before heading to the river front to see the light display. It was raining so heavy we headed to the shops as stayed in there until the rain stopped. We ended up with enough time to visit the museum loos 😂😂😂 before it shut at 4 pm. There was still a bit of time before it went dark so we headed to Hotel Choc….for hot chocolate in the cafe (I had tea 😇) We had a very pleasant walk around the light displays on the waterfront and watching the fireworks on the opposite bank of the river. You could see for miles as the rain stopped to a beautiful clear sky 😃
My phone has been playing up for a while - really slow and the camera has gone rubbish. Whilst in the shop I saw a great phone in JL….they didn’t have any in stock. It says the JL at my local big mall has 1 in stock. We’re heading to see if they do or not. I’m not holding my breath as same phone online is £100 extra😳 My techie advisors dh and ds reckon it’s a good phone so that’ll do for me 😃🤞hope they do have one in 🤞 Don’t think I’ll be walking around the shops though other than the phone dept at JL…..my ankle is shot today after going out yesterday 😕January spends - £587.581
