I had this problem a couple of years ago.  Yuk is all I can say.  Then I read the machine instructions, whoops.  So now I do at least one wash a month on 60 & at least every 3 months do 2 washes one after the other on 90.  The only problem I have had siince is when DS was putting the washing on & setting it off to stop me having to bend over & I never thought to tell him about the 60 & 90, so had to start over.

I do a wash about once a month on 90 with nothing in it & it seems to help  :)

The next lot of washing came out fine. Unfortunately it didn’t dry as it was so late when I put it out.
We’ve made a good start on Dh junk room 😂😂😂 He has actually got rid of a full shelf of books. We’ve sorted everything except the very top shelf which is home to a LOT of boxes. He has brought most of them down and I’ve dusted them. Tomorrow they’ll be sorted and put back in a better order. Mmmmm…..quite why he needed to keep old cd wallets when he doesn’t possess any cds is beyond me. And don’t even get me going on the crate of cable he has to keep….I suspect he hasn’t a clue what they’re all from 😱🤷‍♀️ Annnnd why would anyone need 7 ukuleles…I kid you not...he only has 1 pair of hands therefore can only play one at a time. And a box of radio amateur radios he hasn’t touched in 20 years…..I’ve not questioned too closely as he might start questioning me about my craft stash 😂😂😂😂😂 As long as he has room and it looks neat it’s fine by me. It had got to the stage where there wasn’t a clear surface in the room. Dd will be staying in the room next week  as it has a bed settee in the room and there literally wasn’t a surface  for her to put anything. We slept in the room last week whilst we were painting our room and I think it opened his eyes just how cluttered it had become.
I’ll start on my craft room as soon as we’ve finished Dh room. It isn’t that bad as I have it a sort not too long ago. The gks share my craft room when they come to stay. I need to cull a few books.
It was lovely sleeping in my own bed last night. I’m looking forward to having time to finish the finishing touches like covering the window seat. It’ll probably have to wait until after dd has gone home.
I sat as much as I could whilst sorting the room today but my ankle is so swollen. It’s an absolute pain…literally 😏 Once dd has gone home I think I’ll chase the hospital up to see how long the waiting list for the steroid injection is.

I shamefully never do a hot wash with nothing in malarkey and don’t have problems with my washing machine but now feel I should 😬 I do a 60 degrees wash about once a week for towels, bedding and anything stained, the rest is 30 degrees on a 28 minute cycle. Not sure my washer does a 90 degrees wash, need to check.

I think that’s why I had a problem SA….I rarely use anything above 40 and the longest I use is 45 minutes…..more often than not 30 minutes. It never used to happen when we were all at home and I washed on longer programmes which were hotter.

If you are doing one 60 wash it week that should keep it sorted but I don't & that's why I developed the problem.  I have cut down a lot on the washing & softening liquid & that has helped.  The quantities they tell you to use seem to be far to much.  I usse about half what they say now & have no problem getting stuff clean.

Reminds me of my mum and her twin tub, everything washed on 1000 degrees wash. She used to shrink everything 🤣🤣

I remember being in hospital when my eldest was about 18 months old. Dh was so proud he’d kept on top of the washing and EVERYTHING 😂😂😂 He’d only used enough water to cover the clothes in the twi tub and I had to re wash the lot. I heated that machine…..ds slipped on the wet floor when he was 2 1/2 and had a really nast fracture 😢
Just got back from SlimmingWorld and put 1/2 lb on. I’ve worked out it’s cost me over £60 to loose 2 lb 😨😱😳 There’s my motivation 👍
