I find if I set a time to exercise I’ll do it. You just have to get into the habit. Tackle it and the SW one day at a time, make small changes, start with breakfast and take it from there.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Funny you should mention breakfast SA. I remember watching a Michael Mosly many moons ago about the benefits of oats….think I’ll see if I can find it anywhere 👍January spends - £587.580

SA I couldn’t find the tv show on repeat but there was literature about it. He reckoned 65 g of oats per day gave the best results for lowering cholesterol. It’s the first time I’ve made bolognaise in the slow cooker…..I’m not sure I’ll do it again as it made the mince very soft.January spends - £587.580

I think with mince it’s quicker to just cook it in a pan. That’s what I do for Mr SA’s meals with mince. When I have oats I only have 30g 😱 Having said that my cholesterol was good last time it was checked.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Apparently you can add oats to savoury mince dishes to pad them out…I’ve never tried it, but if you want to up your oats consumption it may help? Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Not sure what I think about oats in mince dishes……I can imagine it would be a porridgey texture……unless you were to blitz it and use it as a thickener……Pondering that one WW.
I can’t get my head around overnight oats either…..eating raw oats doesn’t do it for me 😱went to SW this morning and lost 1/2 lb in weight £5 from purse. I think if I equate the cash loss with weight loss it might nudge me into getting to target so I don’t have to pay.I saw a couple of folk I haven’t seen for ages, so a cuppa and chat made it a social occasion 😀 I’m happy with the 1/2 off though as I was still out for birthday meals last weekend 😂😂😂😂I do often think of Peter Kay and his take on chub clubs…..and he said you could loose 1/2lb down the loo 😂😂😂 (or words to that effect )January spends - £587.580 -
I’m not sure about savoury oats either, I think it might have been on the feed tour family for £20 a week Facebook page? I like the page but can’t even feed my cats for that! I have tried overnight oats, but they were stodgy and chewy…if I try again it will be with milk instead of yoghurt, or more liquid to oats anyway.
Half a pound is good, although Peter Kay’s comment is funny. I always wee before I weigh 🤣

I listen to the secret world of slimming clubs podcast and it’s hilarious. They often mention an emergency wee before weighing in 😆
I’ve heard people talking about porridge bread not sure how that would work.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I think of oats as porridge or flapjacks 😂😂😂😂 I know there is a baked oats recipe knocking around SW but I’ve never tried themJanuary spends - £587.580
