I wish I’d grown strawberries this year, everyone seems to doing well with them. You could freeze some. Good luck with the jam, I’ve never made jam but don’t like it so no point anyway 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Well I think the jam is a success…..it smells delicious but it’s still too hot to taste properly - the dribbles that are cold are pretty good. I had forgotten how easy it is to make. The only trouble was I struggled for jars as it wasn’t really a planned activity - so the jam is in the big coffee jars with a glass lid that has a plastic seal and I couldn’t sterilise the plastic bits in the oven. I’ve given it a good wash in hot soapy water and dried it well and also put baking parchment on the jam so I’m hoping it’ll be ok. it’s cost £3 for 2 big jars and 2 tiny jars….as all the fruit was free. 😁👍
