I know carrying the extra weight around my middle isn’t doing me any good at all. The muscles are weak after 5 lots of major stomach surgery and it’s the only thing I can think of that might help. I’m limited with the meds I can take…..anti inflammatory meds are a no no in case it causes another perforation. I’m not relishing sitting in a room full of people either…..mmmm…..might give it another go myself…..

milann said:I’m up for it OBL…..there are a few around here. I’ve been going to the last one about 8 years and she is absolutely lovely as are the people…..but she knows my history and what a tough few years I’ve had health wise. I feel as if I need a complete new start with no history and a bit of tough talking. There is one with a big airy room about half an hour walk from here…..I’ve popped in when I haven’t been able to get to the other group and she seems ok. Plus it’s closer to home and I might meet some more local folk. There used to be a very local one but I’ve not seen it advertised for a while. I might do a bit of investigation. The sooner I loose it the sooner I can stop paying and go for free……Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8940

OBL I know what you mean about the right consultant. I’ve found one on a Wednesday morning. I might give her a ring to see what’s happening re numbers in groups etc, I was speaking to dh about it and he seems to think it’s a good thing.
Beanie I think I’ll saunter back to the SW thread 👍January spends - £587.582 -
So this weekend was I spent more than intended £55.50 in Morrison’s which included £12 on a dress I’d no intention of buying 😏 £25 with the hairdresser this morning but that was badly needed and the window cleaner turned up this morning ( I thought he was on holiday) so another £7
July spends £247.80 ……..my target is £300 for the month….mmmmm…..I could well go over especially if I go to SW…….belt tightening time me thinksJanuary spends - £587.580 -
I have only just started going to SW for the accountability but already resenting paying out each week for it. I have half a stone to lose but it is just not shifting so it is adding insult to injury to pay out and still not lose weight.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Its so hard isn’t it EE…….I still haven’t phoned the sw consultant as I’m still dithering a bit about what I want to do…..I know the plan inside out but can’t stick to it. I’ve abandoned it and just tried cutting down but that was a disaster all round……meals are fine it’s just the constant snacking since I’ve been off work 😳January spends - £587.583

I’ve just spoken to the new SlimmingWorld consultant and am going tomorrow at 11. I’m going to buy a 6 week countdown - there’s a free book 😃 and there’s half price membership fee atm - not sure for how long. I’m using my savings pot money for this and not including it in my July totals.
I feel I’m getting in a bit of a rut sitting in front of the tv so a meeting once a week closer to home where hopefully I might meet some local people seems very appealing atm. I know I can’t carry on as I have been and need to loose at least a stone.
I’ve just phoned the GP for a sick note and tried to get in touch with work but ended up leaving a message to ask if we’re any further forward and where to send the sick note as they’ll have broken up by the time it’s ready. I wonder how long it will take for them to get back to me……
