I’ve had a busy weekend. Friday I tidied up and then did some baking to take with us. By the time I’d finished I’d completely seized up and could hardly move. I went to bed at 9 but hardly slept as I was so uncomfortable. I presume it’s my core muscles that are really weak  and standing aggravates it…..I’ve noticed it a few times when I’m standing cooking 😏 I really need to loose that stone 😳👍
We were up just after 5 and on the road about half 6 for our journey. We did it in about 4 1/2 hours with a short stop for a bacon butty 😃
We had a great weekend. We slept in the house but dd and family slept in a tent. Once I was there the most I did was walk to the table to fill up my plate. I have a friend who lives close by to where we stayed and she came over and I met her little one who is 1 next week. I had lots of time with my gks which was lovely. We got home about 7 on Sunday just in time for the football.
There was a fancy smoker so we had home smoked sausage, salmon and chicken which was delicious. We looked at the smoker on line with an idea of getting one BUT at over £500 don’t think we’ll be bothering - how the other half live. It was lovely seeing the children with so much space - my son in law is a lucky guy growing up in such a place….although he comments about our dd being lucky in lots of different ways….🤔🤔
I ended up finishing the cardigans for gks whilst we were there. They looked lovely although sorry Beanie I didn’t get chance to photograph them before I handed them over. I photograph the next ones.
I crocheted a blanket for the baby next door which was due next month but ended up re doing It as the wool went too fluffy for a new baby. I’d intended finishing it this weeek in plenty of time this week. The baby arrived over the weekend so I’m trying to get it finished today 😂😂😂feel as if I’m on catch up all the time…..how did I ever manage to work.
My phone pinged yesterday and I was removed from the works WhatsApp group from the boss……wonder if she knows something I don’t 😏
My spends since the last post have been £62 on cake ingredients and drinks to take with us. I brought most of the drinks back though so we’re well stocked up. Plus we were given quite a few motorhome related bits and pieces 😂👍.  July spends £110.30
    January spends - £587.58

Sounds like you had a lovely weekend. Being deleted from the work What’s App group sounds ominous - mmm 🤔

Not much on the cards for today except recovering from my day out with ds yesterday. We went to a disused railway track that we didn’t know existed. It was about half an hours drive from his house and overlooked a string of reservoirs. The scenery was stunning. We’ve traveled along the road on the opposite side of the reservoirs many times on our journey to the big shopping centre we sometimes visit. We only walked a small section of it but suspect we saw the best views. I’ve just tried to post a photo but they haven’t come over to my I pad for some reason 😏 Ds treated me to dinner out and then we visited my brother…….he looked better than I’ve seen him in a long time although he is waiting for an op on his shoulder. I think he was pleased to see us espresso ds 😃
I need to finish the baby blanket for next door…..mmmmm……another neighbour and friend has asked me to 2 for her to give as presents. I don’t have time as I’ve promised the gks more cardigans. This friend has done a lot for me and I don’t want to let her down…..I can’t decide what to do……
July spends so far £120.30 which is still within target despite my spends on drinks at weekend which was more than I’d planned 👍

Feeling a bit meh today. I’ve finished the baby blanket for new baby next door. But just can’t  motivate myself to do much else after my day out yesterday. At least it was a NSD 👍

Think you’ve hit the nail on the head there SA…..I’d had a weekend with family and friends then a nice day with ds and yesterday was back to reality. Dh is usually off but has had a big job on at work and is working all this week…..with long days. He didn’t get in until nearly 10 last night and he left home at 7ish. I keep wondering if I’ve made the right decision re work……and having niggly thoughts about the future and maybe having to retrain…….I’m no good with too much time on my hands all sort of thoughts enter my head 🤔
Just  like you Beanie I’ll keep plodding
After having straight hair virtually all my life I’ve acquire a curl in my hair😏😂 I lost a lot of hair a couple of months after I’d had surgery in the past and it grew back curly which disappeared after a year or so….this time I haven’t noticeably lost hair but the back has gone very curly again…..it’s driving me mad. I looked as if I’d been dragged through a hedge backwards.  Think I need to book for a chop with my hairdresser friend across the road.
I’m debating walking into town for a mooch around the market and get away from the tv. I might get some wool for the baby blanket my friend has asked me to make -  I can’t really say no as she’s done a lot for me. I’ll just crochet a couple of big granny squares which won’t involve any stitching 😃

I drove into town as it was too hot to walk. I ended up spending £7.50 I hadn’t planned on as I bought a sandwich and drink plus a crocheted cardigan pattern for me. I’ve been on the lookout for something like it for ages. I haven’t bought the wool for it yet as I need to finish all my other projects first. I bought the wool for the baby blankets for friend but will get the money for them so I’ve not included them in my spends.
