There will be spends today I want to walk to Home Bargains for some loo rolls and soap. They are cheaper than Morrison’s. I will pop into the charity shop nearby to see if I can pick some books for dks. I’m seeing them at weekend. We’re going to son in laws family for the night. We stay in the house and everyone else sleeps in tents. There will be 10 of us and we all muck in together. We do it every couple of years…..was a bit touch and go this year whether it would happen or not. Fingers crossed for a dry weekend.January spends - £587.580

I didn’t go anywhere in the end so it was a NSD. There was a torrential downpour as I was going to head out so I didn’t bother. When it stopped I went and pottered outside. I’ve cleared my decking at the top of the ramp which had all sorts on it. I threw soapy water on it and gave it a good sweep….once we get a bit of settled weather it’ll need repainting. I only did it last year but it has had all sorts on it whilst the building work took place and it’s looking sorry for itself. Ive still got enough decking paint to do the job so a nice little no spend job 😃 Just need dh to decide what he wants to keep so I can put the surplus on the local reduce and reuse site….it’s surprising what people will claim. Better than going to landfill.Food - meals ok snacking off the scale.I’m grateful that I’ve virtually finished the crocheted cardigans for gks. Just got the ribs to do on the 2nd one and stitch flower shaped buttons on 👍 it’s getting hard going now they’re getting bigger sizes. I thought the eldest might have outgrown wanting them but she always chooses what colour she wants for the next one when I’ve finished 😂😂January spends - £587.580

Yes Beanie it needs a lot of looking after. It’s quite a long ramp with a decking area at the top which goes to the back doors. We found it gets quite slippery so needs decking paint which is non slip. I usually manage a couple of years between repainting but I only did it towards the end o last summer. But the workmen trailed all sorts over it…..and we have had pieces of stone from a wall and 5 sacks of soil growing potatoes sat on it since we had the flagging and fences done a couple of months ago 😳 it’s slowly getting back to having some sort of order in my back garden. The base of my parasol came today. Just need the weather to go with it and dh to make the wooden screen and fairy lights I need (want) for my shady nook 😃January spends - £587.580

Another NSD and another day pottering in the garden. I’ve listed a few bits on a reuse and recycle site….if no takers Dh will take them to the tip. Dh has sawn some pallets up to use on a wood burner we were treated to at Christmas but haven’t used yet. It is definitely looking a lot tidier out there 😃 He needs to break some big rocks at some point to put around a small water feature we have. One time I’d have had a go but there’s no way atm.
We are heading to see dd at her in-laws over the weekend. It’s about a 3 1/2 hour drive away. A friends daughter who I’ve known most of her life lives nearby and she will be visiting us on Sunday morning before we head home. She called her daughter after mine and they have never met, can’t believe she is 5 already…. so that will be lovely to see the next generation together…. apparently she has never met anyone with the same name as her 😂😂
I’m doing some baking tomorrow to take with us and giving everywhere a tidy…..it’s not bad but I do like to come home to a tidy place 😃 It should be a relatively low spend weekend but we will take some drinks with us which we’ll buy enroute.January spends - £587.581 -
July spends still £48.30
todays food - meals ok but still snacking but not as bad as yesterday 😃 There was a 1 1/2 lb when I weighed this morning but I’d put it on instead of loosing it 😏
Positive thought of the day…..I’m pleased the garden is looking tidier 😃January spends - £587.581 -
My DD has only ever come across one person with the same name as her and that was when my mum took her on holiday one year. My mum called DD’s name and it attracted some Welsh people over who’s DD shared her name. She has a Welsh name by the way.Glad the garden is tidier. Are you snacking out of boredom or because you’re not eating filling enough meals?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

SA a mixture of boredom and habit - I’m eating lots at mealtimes too. But the meals are well balanced and SW friendly………need to break some bad habits I’ve acquired since I’ve been at home all day 🤔🤔January spends - £587.580
