Blimey, now burnham seems to be suggesting that the government should decide how much people should get paid. Not just a general minimum wage, but occupation-specific wages in order to protect British workers.
Now, as much as I respect a lot of the good work he's done, I'm not sure turning the UK into North Korea is going to win many people over.

Note to shadow cabinet. Please all have a chat together and decide what your message actually is rather than scatter gunning any old nonsense that you think up on the fly.

If we see Brexit should we then have a GE, perhaps next spring, where each party would put forward its postion for dealing with Brexit?

Part of me thinks yes absolutely.

Another part of me thinks no, I'd have no idea who to vote for. I don't feel like I can trust Dave and his crew anymore (although perhaps he might not be the leader?), some of his people have clearly betrayed their own convictions and certainly can't get on board with Jeremy.

After Brexit UK politics is going to get very complex. It wouldn't surprise me if we saw an early GE, maybe as early as autumn.

the problem with a GE is that most of the MPs are europhiles and don't want brexit
we need a new set of MPs who believe in brexit otherwise they will just sabotage the legislation.

I don't see how that will happen : pity UKIP aren't a serious party

    How about another referendum ;)

To be honest it mightn't be the worst idea, if only to lend any eventual settlement with the EU (assuming there is one) some democratic credibility.

If we did though make it a hell of a lot shorter of a campaign than this one., and we really don't want to get in the habit in having them for everything!

The 19 point lead wasn't even a proper poll, Opinium disowned themselves and they did the fieldwork!

I would say it was shameful of the Express to run it, but this is the Express we're talking about

I'm pretty sure that if brexit win by a small margin, then there will be another referendum
I'm pretty sure that if remain win by a small margin there won't be another referendum

WE need labour - imagine a scenario where the question over the GE result was whether the Tories would need to go into a coalition with ukip or could rule on their own :(

Current political parties no longer represent the electorate. Days are long gone of factory workers vs landowners. Appear so out of touch with reality.

I didn't mean a referendum on the same vote again, rather if the deal on the table was EFTA membership, with all that entails, then maybe people should have a right to vote on whether that was acceptable before we signed up to it..

The only way I could see anyone being able to justify a new vote on the same terms (Remain v Leave) in the near future would be if we had a Leave vote and the EU came back with a SIGNIFICANTLY improved offer to the UK with regards to what EU membership would entail, or if we voted to Remain, but there was then a fundamental adverse change in what the EU required from us I don't think it would be unreasonable to have another vote.
