As always, every cloud has a silver lining.
Nigel Farage says he will leave Britain if Brexit is a disasterLONDON — Nigel Farage will abandon the UK if Brexit is a disaster, the former UKIP leader said on Monday night.

Sorry I meant every 10 weeks
According to the data I can find we pay about £15bn a year into the EU and take out about £12bn.
OK £3bn isn't nothing, but considering we can't quantify how much extra value being a member of the EU adds to our wealth, is the chaos of Brexit really worth the possible saving of three billion pounds a year?0 -
The tragedy of Syria should never have happened in the first place.
This is what happens when major powers do not cooperate; the situation regarding displaced citizens in such numbers from ANY country should never happen.
Politics sadly has allowed this in Syria.
As it is allowing similar in Yemen, and even in the Ukraine.0 -

I'm sorry but from that post I really have to ask:
Are you just trolling?
Serious question BTW.
Because looking at the EU Parliament's own website:
http://www.europarl.europa.eu/news/en/news-room/20141202IFG82334/eu-budget-explained-expenditure-and-contribution-by-member-state
Figures for 2015 (the latest they show) are as follows:In 2015 the UK contributed €18.21 billion to the EU budget (after a rebate of €6.08 billion) and also collected €4.27 billion in customs and farm trade duties on the EU's behalf, of which it retained 25%, as an administrative fee.
From the same document, EU spending in the UK was 7,457.6 million Euros.
Therefore the net UK contribution in 2015 was 18.21 less 7.46 less 1.07 from customs/farming as above(rounded up) equals 9.68 billion Euros.
Just to remind you, these official figures are from the EU's own website.
Oh, and that is unless the EU again decide to impose an extra payment because the UK did so well, as they did in 2014 with the extra 2 billion Euros BTW.
So where does your 3 billion come from?
An EU official link please?0 -

I thought his performance was the most uncomfortable of the entire panel.
Even Salmond did better and everyone knows I think he's full of it. Nick conflated access with membership, trotted out the same lines he'd used in the referendum debates to little effect. He's doubling down on a failed position.
I could see myself supporting a SM membership style such as that which Switzerland enjoys. But Nick just peddles deceit, continuously.0 -

Someone with a different opinion to you isn't necessarily a troll.
From this Commons Briefing Paper the gap is about £3bn.
