If we vote for Brexit what happens

Sounds more like a message to each EU country to me.
A possible reaction to the UK going off and speaking to individual countries instead of through he EU.
It's quite hard to suppress the various trade bodies and federations in the individual countries though.
Spanish fruit producers, or Bavarian manufacturers, they all have a vested interest and I'm sure they won't hesitate to try and push their case.0 -

Agreed, but sometimes it's forgotten that the side with the hardest job in all this negotiation is actually the EU.
They need those vested interests to come together through them and not feel that the EU isn't capable of delivering those interests.
If they lose control of their members then their whole raison d'etre may be called into question.0 -
His vacuum cleaners are rubbish as well
I don't know. We are quite happy with ours.
Dyson was also quite warm about the EU's banning on high wattage vacuum cleaners, as he said they were misleading the consumer.
I hope volt guzzling rattly old hoovers don't come back post Brexit.
Maybe that's a law that was a good one?0 -
I suppose adopting an open book also means airing your dirty washing in public?
We might find out who really pulls the strings in the EU27, and when push comes to shove, who really commands the clout.
Wouldn't view it as washing. As the aim of the EU longer term has never been a secret. Can only ever work with fiscal integration. With the UK exiting. Then the nature of the EU may well change. Lots of talk of a 2 speed Europe. Possibly the only way of saving the Euro as a viable currency. French\German axis is pivotal. That's where the power base is. Interesting times lie head.0 -

Ours just seemed to get less and and less effective over time, replaced it with an old fashioned (albeit low wattage) Miele with a bag in it which was cheaper, far more effective and came with a 10 year guarantee0 -

Given the EU haven't published anything as yet either. Why is the UK being secretive. Journalism is very limited in it's thinking these days. Discussions will start soon enough.
I agree. But it is interesting that when some people asked the UK Government to be more open with its position the more reactionary of the pro-Brexit community said that was silly and not a sensible way to conduct negotiations.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

Maybe so. But to put matters into context the EU hasn't agreed it's position yet. As it's the UK that's leaving whatever is or isn't agreed. Opening gambit is the EU's to make. The UK cannot set out a position in advance. The UK can only respond.0 -
