If we vote for Brexit what happens

Amid what appears to be a deterioration in UE/Turkish relations, it is today being widely reported that Recep Erdogan is planning a Brexit-style referendum on whether or not Turkey should continue to pursue EU membership.Turkey’s bid to join the EU has been stalled for decades, but the ongoing migrant crisis in Europe saw the 28-country bloc strike a deal with Ankara that included promises of visa-free travel for Turkish citizens and the acceleration of Turkey’s EU bid. However, while Turkey insisted it has been keeping its side of the deal, stemming the refugee flow from Syria, it pointed out that the EU was not living up to its promises, leading to increasingly disgruntled and threatening rhetoric from Ankara.0

That does make a mockery of all the Brexiteers scaremongering about Turkey joining anytime soon.
They've been repeatedly wrong on this topic.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

You mean despite the continued actions and rhetoric from Eurocrats, eh?
Because be honest, if Erdogan had not been so obviously power-hungry and dictatorial ("attempted" coup etc.) would EU/Turkey talks still be stalled as they are now?0 -

Those polls which have proven so reliable in the past, eh?
Added to which is this:A month before the first round of France's presidential election, 43 percent of voters are hesitant about who to vote for, a poll said on Friday, underlining the uncertainty surrounding the volatile

Turkey is covered in Tim Marshall's excellent Prisoners of Geography book and its interesting in this context. He makes the point that the country's a bit out on a limb. Its Turkish ancestry is distinct from the Arab identity, so the two groups aren't as friendly as you would expect. Further, they are Sunni so the alliance between Russia and Assad, and other Shia groups do not have a great relationship. It even looked as though it may have turned toxic with the shooting down of the plane.
It also has uncomfortable and problematic relations with the Kurdish regions of neighbouring countries. So it may not have great relationships with the EU but what other allies does it have? It needs to be very careful not to overplay its hand. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? They've been stalled for decades.
Turkey has so far managed to meet only a tiny fraction of the joining requirements.
So yes they'd still be stalled and the events of the last year have only re-emphasised just how right those of us who said Turkey was nowhere near joining were.
There was never any prospect of Turkey joining the EU any time soon - and the Brexiteers deliberate scaremongering on this topic were frankly ludicrous.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Over 1000 migrants were rescued off the Libyan coast overnight; Italy says it is increasing facilities for asylum seekers to accommodate an extra 250,000 this year despite planned agreements with Libya:Despite rough winter seas, migrant departures from Libya on boats chartered by people traffickers have accelerated in recent months from already-record levels, with patrol boats rescuing more than 6,000 people in the past week alone.0

You seem very keen for the National Front to win - if your irrational hatred of the EU is so deep it has you celebrating any chance for a party that was literally founded by Nazi's to win an election in Europe - that speaks volumes...“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
