You've also been reduced to insults?????
Is that the best you can up with?0 -

On the behalf of all Londoners - thank you for worrying about something that we don't worry about. We are deeply in your debt.
Maybe its just the people I know are unrepresentative (very possible!) but I have to admit for all of the arguments that London is getting hurt the most badly by immigration, it appears to me that it is one of the areas in the UK that is least enthused about leaving the EU.
It's always seems a bit odd to me that many areas which are relatively unaffected by immigration in comparison are the most vociferous in opposing it.0 -

What makes you think Turkey won't join?0 -
Good to see Gove flagging up the burgeoning fascism problem in mainland Europe this morning. Perhaps detaching ourselves politically from a reactionary continent like Europe is for the best.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0

Well exactly. Some would say that this is natural because the immigrants in the affected areas are voting 'in' but I don't think that tells the whole store. If you look at .gov.uk petitions which offer a one way vote opposing immigration (or some proxy petition), there is lower support for them in areas which see a lot of immigration vs other areas.0 -

And your post accussing me of blaming all immigrants wasn't an insult?.
Feel free to quote me where I blame all immigrants.
If you want to debate then debate but don't throw unfounded accusations about.0 -
I'm in the same ballpark.
I don't like the EU. A bad expression of a good idea, if you ask me. I'd be more than happy to leave.
On the other hand, the more I hear from the Brexit Boys banging on about immigration, and borders, and more immigration, the more attractive life within the EU becomes.
This "debate" was unfortunately always going to descend to a pretty low level pretty quickly (and that is from both sides!)
For most people I suspect it will boil down the perils of immigration against the economic uncertainty caused by Brexit.
I would like to say the country has deserved a better debate, but it doesn't seem particularly interested in having one!
As always there are a lot of shades of grey in reality, I doubt you will hear much of that nuance from either side!0 -

Are we really this stupid?
The UK doesn't do mainland Europe style "frenzied hate" though does it?
Do we really want to ally ourselves with a country like France where the far right polls 42% in nationwide election?“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0
