the EU is indeed about tariff barriers to the rest of the world and so artificial high prices, but internal free movement of goods, service and people
And capitalFree movement of people is one of the reasons we must leave. Once Turkey and the middle east join, the true problems will emerge (although I understand many people want to keep the EU white and christian but eventually that will change)

so you consider the suggestion that Turkey et al would join the EU as scaremongering ?
So you do want to keep the EU white and christian otherwise what possible 'threat' is Turkey etc joining?0 -
I would guess you don't live in one room of a shared flat with little prospect of buying a modest family house in London.
If my kids, say, choose a way of life that only allows them to live in that way - I would tell them to leave London. London is a a city were you have to be prepared to work hard - it always has been - it's not a place for those who want an easy life. Nobody has to live in London - it's a choice - the rest of the UK is great and the slower pace of life often suits some people better.Low unemployment is unrelated to immigration but low wages are.
Promising people higher wages when actually they probably won't have a job at all is immoral.0 -

I don't blame individuals for policy failing.
I consider the high price of accommodation and the low level of space as a supply and demand issue.
London has a population of about 8 million and over 3 million are foreigners. With a significantly smaller population people could live in larger family sized accommodation at lower cost.
This would make the people of the UK able to enjoy a higher quality of life.
I don'ts see an ever increasing population as a good thing: you clearly do.
I don't see that a increasing proportion of UK industry being foreign owned as a good thing : you clearly do.
I don't see an increasing proportion of UK generated profits as flowing abroad as a good thing : you clearly do.
I don't see that an ever increasing tax take on profits flowing abroad is a good thing : you clearly do.
But we do both agree that Turkey joining the EU is scary.0 -

There is no chance that Turkey and the middle east will join the EU. So why would you right it if you weren't scaremongering?0 -

there is absolutely no evidence that a lower population leads to higher unemployment :
perhaps provide some economic reasons for your absurd (un) reasoning.
plenty of countries with lower population that the UK with low unemployment
plenty of countries with higher population that have higher unemployment
you are becoming completely irrational0 -

I am concerned about the people of the UK.
You may only consider you own narrow personal self interest but I have a wider perspective.0
