Somewhat cancelled out considering they then go and block every housing development within four hundred miles of the village green and queue up before the polling booth opens to vote for right wing governments.
So no, I don't especially appreciate the hypocrisy and none of those marge infested cakes should be allowed to be sold to anyone without being made in a properly accredited kitchen.
In fact, they should all be taken outside and driven over by a van.

If Article 50 is not retractable, this would leave Parliament with a Fait Accompli, neutering their powers.
Yes it is...
But ... there is a little-known loophole in Article 50 that would keep the UK in the EU even after the request is triggered. Basically, the UK can change its mind after the Article 50 request is made as long as no final agreement on Brexit has been reached.
First, this is the text of Article 50:
A Member State which decides to withdraw shall notify the European Council of its intention. In the light of the guidelines provided by the European Council, the Union shall negotiate and conclude an agreement with that State, setting out the arrangements for its withdrawal, taking account of the framework for its future relationship with the Union. That agreement shall be negotiated in accordance with Article 218(3) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. It shall be concluded on behalf of the Union by the Council, acting by a qualified majority, after obtaining the consent of the European Parliament.
Any country making an Article 50 request has two years to reach a pact with the EU. After that, you're out. So as a matter of logistics, the UK is not likely to trigger Article 50 until after it has secured an exit deal to the government's liking. That could take a long time.
But even if that happens, Article 50 still lets us back in. As early as 1946, Churchill saw Britain helping a new Europe but not being part of it.
He said: “Great Britain, the British Commonwealth of Nations, mighty America, and I trust Soviet Russia must be the friends and sponsors of the new Europe and must champion its right to live and shine.”
As Prime Minister in 1953, he was explicit that Britain should not be part of the arrangement. He told the Commons: “Where do we stand? We are not members of the European Defence Community, nor do we intend to be merged in a Federal European system. We feel we have a special relation to both. This can be expressed by prepositions, by the preposition ‘with’ but not ‘of’ – we are with them, but not of them. We have our own Commonwealth and Empire.”

I just love multi millionaire celebs on red nose day telling us all to dig deep, when just a couple of them could donate 90% of their wealth, tens of millions or more for charity, and still be left very comfortable.
Oh well, at least Russell Brand 'shed a tear knowing there is poverty in the world', whilst actively adding to his vast wealth with every stage tour, book, film.0 -
Many have criticised the Judiciary for miscarriages of justice and other actions in the past. Today we are told we ought never to criticise the judiciary, even when it choses to step into a very heated and febrile political debate.
There was no small print on the Govt leaflet warning us 'the Govt will implement your decision to leave or stay, unless Judges say otherwise'
Gina Miller said she felt sick to the stomach when Leave won. In the end she cares nothing for sovereignty, she wants it remaining in Brussels. Her real aim is to delay brexit in the hope something will come along to change the political climate.0 -

Er, no. This is exactly the kind of mob rule claptrap that Leavers would probably like to believe but it's about as far wrong as can be,
The rule of law is not negotiable unless the law is changed. There is no particular reason to assume that the government is acting lawfully. Gina Miller, a private citizen challenged the government's actions and their plans were adjudged to be unlawful insomuch as Parliament should get a vote.
Now Brexitools don't like it and are responding in exactly the same way a they have throughout the campaign, with intimidation, menaces, tantrums and thinly veiled sinister threats to find the people involved and 'get them' with violence.
I thought my opinion of the Mail couldn't get any lower until it posted mugshots of Miller and the three Justices under the strap line "Enemies of the People". Three men doing their jobs and one woman using the British court system completely properly. One referred to as "openly gay". The comments open for some cretin to post their addresses and a torrent of invective from idiots asking to know where they live.
But of course this is what happens when that repulsive rag scents blood in front of it and a baying mob of morons at its back. Which is why it supported the Nazis. At least Brexitwits are proving that horrible xenophobia and intimidation is in no way confined to Europe.0 -
Hope people saw the Wail journo on Newsnight, desperately trying to explain why it was valid to mention one judge's sexuality. Hilarious stuff.
Note: I voted Leave and think the Wail is a ridiculous comic and its editor is a true enemy of the people. I hope this concept isn't too much for some minds to process. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
QUESTION.
Labour keep saying they demand access to the Single Market guaranteed prior to agreeing to trigger Article 50.
Surely the whole world has this access, so what is Labours aim here?0 -

Correct. He's either being deliberately vague and making it sound like he's making a difference, or he's badly worded it and meant that he want's assurances that we'll get single market membership.0
