If we vote for Brexit what happens

The problem is its not just opposition MPs who have an issue with the government pretty much bypassing parliament on Brexit, there are a significant number of Tories who do as well0 -
Mrs May going into a General Election would campaign to leave employing arguments such as 'a vote to remain is a vote to pay £28 million per day for next to no benefit' (trade would go un-hampered on whether we are in or out).
If anything the Leave case would be a lot stronger and more defined.
At a GE what would Labours position be? Very muddied I would think, and remember Corbyn wants mass immigration but polls show about 80% want control and manageable number )pre Blair era numbers).
Labour would get wiped out in the north and are already wiped out in the south if they campaigned on a mass immigration ticket with a muddy brexit position0 -
If May calls an early election thanks to a snotty fund manager and her be-wigged Men in stockings, the people will give May a thumping majority, job done.
Without a General Election you may find remain MP's thwarting a worthwhile Brexit, and once again the establishment get the result the Men of Brussels demand. I have a hunch the people would lose all faith in politicians and we would end up with a 'far right' Government
You say that like it's a bad thing?
We might finally end up with a government determined to deal with the benefit culture. I suppose we might lose Scotland in the process, but everything has a cost.0 -
I'm just glad no-one on here has any decision making responsibility.0

I was under the impression that the majority of Tory Party members and Tory voters were Leavers - that Remainers are the minority?0 -

The markets have spoken!
I think that to an extent, there is a different understanding now of what the Common Market means, so I'm hopeful it wouldn't be as cut and dry on 'a definite Conservative majority', especially once campaigning gets under way!
We will see.💙💛 💔0 -

The problem is people didn't vote for whatever you consider a "worthwhile Brexit", they voted by a small majority to leave the EU, that's the sum total of the mandate there is from the referendum, people can speculate all they like as to why people voted the way they did but there is nothing in the referendum to demand a Hard Brexit.
The polling is all over the place on this, so good luck on really finding out whether people are prioritising trade or the Harder Brexit viewpoint.
Whatever our eventual deal is people are going to be disappointed0 -

And Remainers would have to rally around a Corbyn government :eek::eek::eek:0 -
OMG, the comments, they are hilarious. I could read them all day. They are threatening civil action. Ahahaha.
