  • There is surely no point in either party to the legal case bothering to waste money on appeals.

They should just come on here and ask Hoochypooch for a ruling, based on his/her keen analytical skills as exemplified in the great Northern Irish cake icing scandal!

Huh! Judges! What do THEY know?

Sounds like they have more of a clue than the "Brexit means Brexit" Tory Party then.

So far Brexit means naming and shaming companies who hire people from overseas, until it doesnt; deporting people who are here legally, until it doesn't, staying in the single market, and leaving it, having a hard border, which is completely open for people entering via Ireland, telling doctors they'll have to work 15 hours more a week, and backing down.

Yeah, Brexit means Brexit alright. If Brexit is code for "A bunch of xenophobic idiots who don't have the faintest idea what they are doing."

As I said Labour have no policies..... most of what they say is vague to the point of utter meaninglessness....a bit like your posts really - so I'm sticking you on ignore.

Brexit: Theresa May could trigger Brexit 'within weeks'

Oh God, I hope so. Tomorrow would be even better!
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Some great British beers around - try " Meantime" - a great London beer.

    Meantime-Brewing-Bottle-Mixed-Case-330-ml-Beer-Pack-of-6-0.jpg

On offer in M & S - 25% off 6 bottles. (As is Camden Hells)

This is exactly what I am talking about.

    No there aren't.

There are some great Pilsners, in Germany, lambic beers in Belgium, Blonde and Brun beers in Holland and countless incredible craft IPAs in the USA.

There are some British beers that manage to consummately outrun the British beer pack and top out at almost average, internationally.

Meantime, is kind of OK. Spitfire is, sort of drinkable. Doom Bar is "not bad."

If you are in the mood for a watery weak pint then British beer is fine but suggesting there is any reason for it to exist other than lack of competition and jingoism is nonsense.

This is more a retort to Conrads repeated claims that food prices in the UK going up is good, because people should just "eat less" and the poor are entirely to blame for their poor diets.

There's no excuse for a poor diet. There are plenty of poor people making intelligent dietary decisions, indeed, in the quite recent past food was much more scare and people much poorer but many didn't shirk from preparing a big old stew and storing some for further meals.

Much of the liberal left middle class cult defaults to excuse making which helps no one at all and simply perpetuates poor choices - 'oooh the nice middle class professor says I live in a food desert and cannot help myself ordering a large donner n chips every night' (even though the migrants next door manage to make all sorts of healthy home dinners on a budget) and a kebab CAN be really healthy anyway if you can be @rsed to order raw cabbage, onions etc with it - not just wholesalers stinky sauce with no veg - plenty of times I've noticed right rough types not ordering any veg - no doubt they tell their nice Dcotor they cant afford fresh veg

I've liked it on holiday when we've found the only shop in area is a tiny spa, in fact this happened this summer in Suffolk. We managed to cook up cracking meal out of next to nothing - and sure enough you see the big obese woman coming in in dressing gown and slippers, stinking of fag smoke and buying up frozen junk - I bet you anything she would say on this forum she doesn't have the choice to home cook. PS, I like the odd smoke myself.

I don't particularly disagree but in the context of this thread Brexit isn't going to lead to people with poor diets eating good diets or overweight people losing weight.

They'll just have to pay more for the crap they eat.

Personal responsibility is dead in our culture.

If your kids fail at school, it's the schools fault.

If you fail at school it's the schools fault.

If you're fat, it's the fault of the food you can afford, or the people/things that make you depressed that make you comfort eat.

If you're poor, it's the system that has kept you down.

If you're not paid enough, the government should legislate so that you are.

If you're unemployed, it's the employers being too picky and not giving you a chance, and the job centre sending you to interviews you don't want.

If you walk over a floor that is being mopped, you 'fall' and there isn't adequate signage, it's the fault of the poor sod doing the mopping.

The free market works, but only if you accept that the !!!!less, lazy and moronic will suffer at their own expense. Blaming the current style of central planning, and then advocating more/different central planning *cough*Labour*cough* won't change things.
