If we vote for Brexit what happens

One of the aces I've been on about for some months is now seemingly being considered; slashed corporation tax.
We are in a powerful position.
The same corporation tax we're struggling to get anyone to pay as it is? :j
Where do we make up for this increased revenue shortfall? Education still get a few quid, we could just get rid of it entirely.0 -
My view is that the majority of people will not move country because their job has moved.
Your view is abnormally narrow though.
Though it depends on the jobs. Will anyone move for a £7k part time job in a factory? Nah. Will they move to a new city for a £70k professional job? Quite possibly. What about a £700k job? Or a £7m job?
I'm on nowhere near a London salary, and if my job moved to Frankfurt, I'd definitely consider moving.0 -
“This decision represents a huge challenge for the European Union itself, and Ireland in particular. Nobody should be under any illusion about the scale of the potential implications for this country,” he said.“Last week I met the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator and told him that the future negotiations with Britain must take full account of Ireland’s unique situation.”“At EU level, all the key decisions on Brexit will taken by the heads of Government in the European Council. I can assure you that I will continue to use this forum to ensure that Ireland’s concerns are not only heard, but also acted on.”
He said that in the light of the international uncertainty arising from Brexit and other issues, it was essential that the public finances were managed very carefully.
“The people of Ireland have made huge sacrifices to help turn the country around. That includes our public service workers, who suffered significant pay cuts in recent years. The Government wants to see their pay levels restored but that restoration must be planned and affordable.”

I think this matters because if Article 5 goes to a vote in HoC it's going to be important.
A vote on article 50 would really be nothing more than a cathartic release, but when push comes to shove all the MPs know that 50's got to be done. The few remaining fringe desperadoes are not going to delay anything and never were.
Might be worth letting them get it out of their system so we can then all (including the EU) focus and crack on.0 -

There isn't going to be a vote about whether article 50 be triggered (and never was).
The commons debate and vote will be AFTER article 50 has been triggered on the terms of the deal reached. Whatever the result of that vote the UK will be leaving the EU.
The panic that the rug might be about to be pulled from underneath project brexit is creating irrational thoughts.0 -
Northolt stand-off: Siege over at home of man armed with petrol and 'devil' dogs
A TWO-DAY armed police siege has finally ended after a man barricaded himself and his four dogs in his council house. The man, who is believed to be suffering from mental health issues, refused to speak to police for almost three days.Neighbours said the suspect was a strident Brexit supporter

I'm not convinced that this approach would be a good move prior to the UK getting trade deals in place. It's not generally considered a good thing annoy someone before going into negotiations with them.0 -
I am trying to be objective as I observe the journey to Brexit.
Eh? Look, even ignoring your generally anti-Brexit posts even your sig isn't exactly "objective" is it?
"Little Britain". Right.
Further, the fact that I live in Luxembourg seems to give some posters the right to bad mouth both the Country and me.
Perhaps confirming the feeling that SOME Britains don't like foreigners or ANYTHING foreign!
Or are you trolling?
Because coming from one who continually posts anti-Brexit propaganda together with the "bad-mouthing" of a large portion of the UK that chose to leave the EU is a more likely reason for your posts to be derided, is it not?
It seems that a certain (ex?) Briton doesn't like opinions being debated by Britons that choose to live in Britain.
THAT has nothing to do with your (frankly) bigoted opinion, directed towards posters in THIS THREAD that "SOME Britains don't like foreigners or ANYTHING foreign!"
A shameful comment as usual from this poster, who (it should be remembered) has posted regarding our country:No I will not be returning to live in the UK unless forced to do so. I am/will be taking steps to reduce the possibility of that happening.
I suspect then that the "feeling" gfplux is REALLY seeing is patriotism, something this poster sadly appears to lack.0
