  • Hi everyone

Weigh in for me this morning and it's 0.5lb loss. Quite happy and amazed with that, I tried to make good choices last night and left some of my rice and most of the sauce from my creamy main course, stuck to slimline tonic in my G&Ts and had a healthy starter with salad. Yet it didn't feel like I was depriving myself. It was lovely to see my friends again, we only tend to get together once a year and they'd not seen me since last Jan at my pre-SW weight. So had lots of compliments at how well I looked which I was over the moon about :D

So as I had a loss this week, to stop everyone hating me :pI'd like to up my challenge target by another 7lbs please shala. That will take me to just over a 4 stone loss which I think I'll call my overall target :D Then I'll need to concentrate on toning up and improving my overall fitness.

Well done losers this week :T hugs etc to STSers and gainers and anyone just needing a hug in general.

    Have a great day everyone

:T to Lindsey and midge and candy.

Sorry to hear you're unwell midge but you're obviously doing something right.

Made a Sweet Potato & Butternut Squash Soup last night for lunch and still none the wiser about the Ryvitta but have 2 with me to go with it. Threw a couple of random Brussels in the soup :rotfl: I'm not half random at times.

For the Dark Rye it's 4 for a HEB so you can have two more later if you fancy. I found it on the weight loss planner on line but as 4 are 6 syns and a large slice of wholemeal is 6 too that's what convinced me. It does vary with 'flavours' though.

I think it's a good idea to have little milestones to reach so 6 lbs to your post op weight is very achievable. By Easter you should be well past that and well on your way to comfy trousers again!!

Same with you Lindsay, you must be delighted that you've started to attack one of those two stones left. 12lbs and you're into the home straight!!

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
    L: LO Austrian Hash
D: Szechuan Beef (spring onions, peppers, mushrooms, sugar snaps, courgette) with noodles
Syns: scrape of spread, maybe some Melba toasts or 70% chocolate (3 syns max)

I'm ignoring the tsp of cornflour shared with DH in the Szechuan Beef, not worth worrying about.

Truly awful day here: dark, dismal, pouring with rain and very blowy.:(

Oh happy days, thanks for that Maman - they do like to confuse us sometimes. The Dark Rye is my favourite one and I tend to stick it with the odd pack of original.

Re the Brussels they were blended in as well lol not bobbing about on their own :rotfl::rotfl:

Morning all - I've been MIA for about a week and a half I guess. Nothing other than just life and being shattered.

Last week's weigh in was +1lb and this week's -1/2lb. No chance of me reaching my ambitious target by end of Feb, but I will be happy to lose every week in Feb instead :)

    Today's menu:

    B - 1 slice wholemeal toast (1/2 HexB) and 2 poached eggs.
L - 2 large mushrooms filled with sw quiche mix made with 1 egg, f/f cottage cheese, onions, herbs and garlic. Plus leftover quiche mix cooked in a silicone cake case. Tomatoes. Apple
D - pasta bolognaise loaded with veg. Steamed corn cobette (or 2 :D) plus tomatoes.

Snacks: grapes. Possibly more tomatoes wrapped up in sliced ham
HexA - skimmed milk in tea. Any remaining drank warm before bed :)
HexB - 1/2 on breakfast. May have another piece of toast for the other 1/2 before bed spread with f/f cottage cheese if hungry, or will just forget about it

Trying to use up freezer contents before we buy a new one in a couple of weeks (think the new one is slightly smaller in cubic volume) so some strange things may come into meals/ be repeated until boredom sets in :D

Hope everyone is having a good week. Manky weather here :(

    xx

oh it takes so long to log in here from work... drives me mad!

7lbs to target candyapple :T brilliant! Another target member on here will be fab... i think we're better than normal SW classes aren't we :rotfl:

I like the sound of your approach to eating Lantanna.. carbs don't help me lose either, so it's something i try to cut back on now. It's hard when it's a habit to have a big bowl full of pasta..

OH made me have a chunk of bread and some crisps last night though :o and it's definitely started my cravings off again :( i'm sitting looking at a table of cakes too  I wasn't as bad as i could have been - he initially wanted fish and chips

    So menu for today EE
B - banana, FF natural yogurt, 1/2 tsp agave (1?) coconut flavouring
    L - pizza boat (4 syns & 0.5 hea), salad, beetroot
T - pulled pork, sweetcorn, roast veg, butterbud (0.5)
    S - milk (0.5 hea) nuts (heb)

    xx

It might be worth me keeping an eye on carbs lantanna. I know that rice/pasta and potatoes are free and unlimited, we always have a measured amount to try an use a bit of portion control. Well done on staying the same - that is some achievement with the stressy stuff you have going on. I love the way you have broken down your journey to target by setting little milestones. I just dont know where I want to be yet other than less than I am now if that makes sense :rotfl:

Well done to all our amazing losers :T:T:T

Good for you Candyapple for upping your Challenge target. Both you and Betty have inspired me to stay with Challenge rather than dropping out. So shala can I please change my target to 4lbs total - so will have to lose around 8lbs in reality I think. Oh well, I can but try.

Today so far has been fruit for breakfast and lunch has been bacon, mushrooms, beans and two fried eggs followed by Shape Greek Yoghurt. Bit low on Speed but will make up for that tonight as we are having Chicken Jambalaya (the speedy one) so will be able to pack plenty of veggies into that.

Also had two of my four bottles of water for today so pleased with that so far.

    Hello All,

I've restarted my SW journey (well I have been going to group for AGES), but playing the up and down game.....
So after a bad week last week, and a 3lb gain last night. I have decided that's enough messing about!!

So I am filling in a food diary (something that I struggle with), and will be handing it in next week.

Can I join your jolly crew?

Making a stir fry tonight with peppers and quorn chicken - yummy!
February Grocery Challenge 262.50/250.00 - overspend - oh no!

    March GC 0/300.00

Weight loss goal - lose 14 lbs by May 18th 2016 - so far 3 lbs lost

Welcome to the gang In the Red :D

I'm lucky I know where I want to go with target BEG . Personally I found that one of the most difficult parts of losing weight, deciding where target should be and trying on different weights for size as such. Above and below my now target. I've settled on 5 lbs above my lightest weight. It can be quite difficult trying to work that out especially if you have pretty much always been big like I have and never been at a healthy weight as an adult.

I'm extra motivated at the minute by getting back into my clothes, I did get some lovely new clothes when I was getting my new wardrobe and it would be such a shame to waste them. I may actually burn these trousers I wear every day to work once I no longer require them lol.

There is also a man on the scene, well he's a friend who has been really really good to me through all the sickness of last year etc and maybe I'm reading into things but I suspect it may develop into something more. I'm just playing it cool, I'm in no real rush but if something does happen I need to be feeling fabulous and have access to some nice clothes!

Don't be buying hats yet!!!! :rotfl: Its a slow mover but I just have that feeling about it. Now runs off with a red face lol. :o

You're very welcome. If you post your food on here every day we'll let you know as soon as we notice anything. Far better than hearing about it after the event at your group.

Welcome aboard InTheRed.:hello: I'm also doing a food diary this week after an unexpected 3lb gain last week. Also going back to basics and making sure I measure things that need measuring and and rechecking syn values. On top of all this I am also upping my water intake. Hope you have a good week. :)

I think I might be happy with a comfortable size 14 lantanna as I think any further and I might start to look a bit scrawny being a bit on the older side and all that :p. How much it will take to get to this size I don't really know - maybe a stone give or take a few pounds. I'm probably slimmer now than I have have been most of my adult life. Definitely burn those trousers as you wont be needing them for much longer. People keep asking me if I have kept my old stuff - I say why would I as I won't be needing them again (she says crossing her fingers :D). Oh my goodness - is that another hat I am going to have to buy as I have to get one for DS and our lush :rotfl:. Hope it all works out for you xx

Sending a little hug to our Meg and Wiz - hope you are both ok xx
