I've seen on instagram a couple of variations of water bottles with timings on the side encouraging you to drink - they are around £15 though so I'm trying to decide if I want one enough. Might see how skint I am after the 1st when all my bills come out

I bought one at Xmas - i think it's brilliant, it makes me feel so guilty when i'm behind that i have to gulp down lots of water to catch up. I've definitely drank less Pepsi since i bought it. (i have weak squash rather than plain water though - baby steps!)

Its nothing you can't make yourself with a marker pen and a bottle though...

Menu for today EE (with a little treat as it's weigh in day :o)
    B - FF yogurt, agave 0.5, banana
L - Pulled pork salad, beetroot, roast veg, feta (0.5 hea)
T - chicken and SW chips :j corn, salad, wholemeal roll (heb)
    S - cherry bakewell (10) milk (0.5 hea) nuts (6) apple
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

:T to debjay and shala. I love to see the losses coming in.

I've been using Aldi noodles and they're not free but very low. Is it the Amoy ones you use or own brand?

What I do for stir fry is get the chicken breast out of the freezer and leave it on the side for only about 30 mins to defrost slightly. Then it slices up brilliantly, leave it to finish defrosting and cooks in no time at all.

I have that several times a week but rarely make it into proper patties. Just a hash of LO veg.:o

I'm sure shala or beg posted about one of those fancy bottles recently or maybe it was a DIY version.

We've got Bolognese today too lois but your sounds yum with the ratatouille. I must make some of that, it'd be a good stand by in the freezer. Any particular recipe?

Not seen denise about. Hope you're OK?

I've put a pencil skirt on this morning and it's a bit 'snug'. I think I'm maintaining but probably a few pounds above where I'd like to be. I'll be doing meal plan later so this should motivate me to be sensible and checked diary and no meals out planned next week so that's a bonus.

It might have been shala that mentioned the fancy water bottle I think. I am a meanie :p. I start the day with a 500ml bottle of sparkly water (really prefer the sparkly stuff to tap water) but then I just re-use that bottle for another 3 times during the day (with tap water) then chuck it out and start on a new one the next day. Upping my water intake normally only lasts a few days so couldn't really justify £15 . We are on Day 3 atm ;).

I'm still reading but not really sticking to plan as much as I should. Not feeling brilliant so didn't go to WI this morning - would probably have been STS at best. No doubt I'll have to pay for this week even though I booked a sick day (only used 1 day for holiday this year so hoping it'll be included in the allowed 6 days for the year).

Trying to stick to plan today with an EE day:

    B - bacon & mushroom omlette
L - ham salad; tapenade (2 syns); ricotta stuffed peppers (not sure how many syns need to check); HEB bread
D - pork chop, mash, roasted veg, brussels, splash of gravy (1 syn)
Fruit & sweetened quark, mini meringue (1 syn)

HEA - milk in teas throughout the day.

    Hi all

I have missed a weigh in i think , sorry for my absence, it was an undeserved STS last week (was very nearly a gain!) and I am expecting this week to be the same to be honest - I haven't given up but have been having a few too many off plan days (rather than still keeping track and just flexi synning or whatever)

Trying to haul myself back on track!

Hope everyone is feeling ok, I have tried to read back but keep getting interrupted by work (rude) and if I don't post now I will remain awol.

Congratulations BelsyBoop on SOTW and Candyapple for reaching your challenge target! :T:T

no walk at lunch either as I've just powered through an awful task at work (benchmarking - groan!) so I have had a choc digestive (5syns but sometimes so needed!)

Plan for tonight is go and pick littlie up, cook tea and then get her in to pjs. Send an email I've been putting off for over a month (!) and tehn get stuck in to some sewing if I can.

Just trying to decide if I make an apt for a bridal shop to go and try dresses on for Saturday when my mum is up to go to the florist or wait until I'm in the next stone bracket (buying off the peg so no huge wait for delivery etc) hmmm

    Oh exciting lush!!!

I have no idea which would be better to do, but I do know that my sister got her dress and then went on to lose a stone and it was grand getting it taken in. Her dress was ordered in a smaller size and was quite tight at time of ordering as was her intention to lose. The SA seemed to be confident with the sizing she was going to order taking into account my sister was planning on losing a stone. Her dress was def on the tight side at order time.

My bridesmaid dress came from a different shop and was a bit of a different story. Quote the sales assistant at time of ordering "Your measurements are all over the place" I was like 3 different sizes on the bottom to the top. I told her I'd lost 4 stone and was going to lose at least another before the wedding and she seemed to ignore that entirely. She ordered me a size 20 one even though I was wearing size 14 high street sizes at the time, although yes you do have to go up a couple of sizes but still! It didn't fit me that day in a size 20 so how was it going to fit me with more weight off...............

I'm not sure what she was thinking - but she knew best. I was too distracted by the fact that I was in a dress from a shop and it hadn't had to be specially made and I looked passable :rotfl::rotfl: It was a big deal to me - gosh I've forgotten about that.....

If I could go back and change things I would. We were all cross with the SA when it arrived but again were told it had had to be ordered in that size to accommodate my large chest............ and "all over the place measurements"!!! That's me the circus freak :rotfl:

Charming..... A fair bit of money had to be spent when it arrived, I was another stone and a half lighter.... getting it altered and to be honest it wasn't the same dress as it was in the beginning - the style had to be changed a fair bit as it had to have a lot of material removed. It wasn't as nice as it could have been........... and the top of it didn't sit right due to the changes. Again I was more overcome with a dress actually fitting me that I wasn't as switched on about the whole exercise as I should have been !

Anyway I am sure this is of no help at all :rotfl:

But it may give you some food for thought as such about it. You make sure you get what you want and not what suits the Sales Assistant. It was like chalk and cheese between the two ladies in the two shops one clearly knew what she was doing and listened and the other had no clue other than I was getting a too big dress no matter what lol.

So whatever you decide to do, at whatever time, go with plenty of questions and make sure you suit yourself not anybody else. Its your day, you've the right to look exactly as you want too and feel amazing.

Have just printed off the szechuan beef recipe - it's one of those I keep meaning to try. What beef do you use?
    b_e_g

This week I was being very mse:money:and I cut cooked LO beef into strips. Otherwise I'd probably use some sirloin, but one steak between two would be plenty and I'd slice it thinly from almost frozen like I said with the chicken. I don't just stick to peppers either, I do a fridge raid. Yesterday was peppers, sugar snaps, mushrooms, spring onions, cabbage and courgette!

Sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather. I missed you.:)

How infuriating that you had to miss WI just when you slipped out of target range. I do hope they don't make you pay.

I think I'd make the appointment and go and see what sort of styles you fancy. As you're planning off the peg then you don't have to buy yet but it's worth seeing what suits you. It'll also give you an idea which styles could be altered if needed as you don't want to end up wit a remake like lantanna had. Or, once you know what style you want you might get something on line. I think this alteration lark can be a bit of a rip off. I remember DD1 being a bridesmaid years ago and the dress came with an unmade hem. I could understand that but not that they wanted to charge an arm and a leg for taking the hem up. It wasn't wearable as it was so everyone had to pay extra!

What are you sewing? (wish there was a nosey smiley;))

I think I'll join the water brigade this week.:D
