Thanks folks, I guess it feels "slow and steady" as I have such a large amount to lose and unrealistically I think I had hoped it would just fly off me and I would be at goal by this christmas....

Busy day with 4 medical appointments for the kiddies today so food has to be quick today.

B: over night oats with raspberries (b)
L: freezer tub (I think it's sweet and sour chicken) with noodles and sala
D: Freezer Veggie curry with rice, melon and chopped apple

Syns: hot choccolate (3) space raiders (3)

    Milk for (a)

I have bought some scan bran this week to make carrot cake..... any tips? :rotfl:

  • Morning all! Can anybody confirm with me what a green day entails please? Not planning any meat today.

    Plan so far:
    B - 2 x hifi (heb)
    S - clementine, activia
    L - spicy lentil soup
    S - popcorn (4.5), kitkat (5.5), jelly, (0.5), banana, grapes
D - Spicy courgette pasta (hea), ff greek yoghurt, cherries, meringues (2)

Need to weigh at the earlier group tomorrow as taking DD to see Joseph at the theatre. Treating her to brunch out as well so will have a meal off plan tomorrow. Feeling a bit helpless without my scales to check on my progress during the week. Hope I see a nice loss to validate not using them tomorrow!

Mary I find the slow and steady approach frustrating too being at the higher range of needing to lose. I try and remind myself that when I've lost quickly in the past, it has always been quick to come back on again! I haven't braved the scan bran yet so can't help I'm afraid, although I think there may be a recipe on the website?

Ha ha, maman. I don’t think there’s much to concentrate on. Dropped back in league to 3rd, no one really near behind us to threaten that place. Likely to take a hammering at Ibrox on Saturday too.

We've just loaned a lovely little midfielder to Rangers called Harry Reed. I do hope they look after him.:) Hope you keep safe and everyone in Gertrude's path.

musogirl, your menu looks fine for Green today which means you can have 2 HEBs and 2 HEAs if you want. Green doesn't insist on a third Speed like EE does but I think if you were doing it regularly (which I know you don't) you'd lose better by upping the Speed. So if that was your daily plan I'd say try to have Speed fruit rather than bananas, cherries and grapes.

Haven't done my shop yet so not certain about what's for lunch. I'll post later but I have had two big glasses of water!!:D
  • Thanks maman! Speed fruit is where I really struggle. I always have plenty of speed veg but I have a mild phobia of overly crunchy things like apples and pears so I tend to have to go with berries which gets really expensive, even though I buy it frozen!

Going to add in some toast and jam for my extra heb and some cheese for my hea!

    Enjoy your extra treats!

Don't worry about the Speed fruit. I hardly eat any fruit at all (mainly because I'm too lazy to prep it:o) just up the veg!!

L - smoked salmon, prawns & crabstick with salad; bread

  • Thank you Lantanna and maman - unfortunately the shop I wanted to visit doesn't have any appointments left :( I may try for one further out. I know what style I'd like but I am happy to try suggestions on. As long as it's nothing to big/full in the skirt as I'd never get close to OH with something like that!

I appear to be having a week of the munchies so trying to avoid the biscuits again :(

Breakfast: HeB bran flakes with milk from HeA and a peppermint tea
    snack: hard boiled egg
another snack: choc digestive :( 5 syn
lunch: salad; spinach, a handful of cooked pasta, cooked chicken, baby plum tomatoes and cucumber with some free dressing
afternoon snack: muller light greek style 0.5syn
tea: not prepped anything in advance but something with chicken and bacon. May end up as the thoroughly uninventive chicken with bacon on top served with a jacket potato and veg!

I managed to put off that email some more last night but will definitely send it tonight that way it's gone!

Will try and do some more sewing depending on how littlie is. She wasn't great this morning and I can only presume it's her teeth :(

DD and SIL came over this morning to drop off her cat for the weekend. I made us all SW sausages, baked beans and a dry fried egg with two small slices of wholemeal toast.

I have yoghurt and fruit for a light lunch and a SW ready meal for tonight.

WI is tomorrow morning and will set the alarm to get up early.
