    Good result, Sandhy and Kaz.

    Enjoy your gin(s), lantanna.

maman, hope harry reed is not playing tomorrow then – I wouldn’t want to fall out with you! We won’t be there anyway – Ibrox and Parkhead we give a miss to now. We’ll just keep up with the action via “Open all mikes” on radio Scotland. Swansea have bought yet another of our youngsters – that’s 3 they have now!

My cat hates dreamies!!! But she’d kill for a Webbox cat yogurt.

Well I did get out for lunch and I chose fairly wisely (for the main course anyway, lol). I had rotisserie chicken and took off the skin, a jacket potato, corn cob and sweet chilli sauce (didn’t use it all). BUT my friend was having a pud, so I did too – mandarin sponge with lemon sauce and a scoop of ice cream. Oh well it’s in the past now and I have been saving syns all week, so hoping there won’t be too much damage because DH and I have been treated (part of our Christmas gift from DD) to a 3 course Italian meal, which will be on Sunday before we go to Celtic Connections Transatlantic Sessions concert.

    Saturday
    Breakfast: banana & hexb cereal
    Lunch: smoked mackerel salad, orange
Dinner: peppered steak, wedges, mushrooms, green veg, tomatoes
Snacks: apple, hexa cheese, crackers & cherry tomatoes (4)

    Still feeling stuffed!

    Enjoy your weekend, everyone

I am watching my team on the tv :T

If they don't win this I will be sulking again :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The scan bran carrot cake I made tastes amazing!! I think I will cook it abit longer and use abit less carrots next time but at 10.5 syns (I added 25g of sultanas) for the whole cake it's a keeper!

I also made the onion bhajis to go with my veggie curry and they were a big hit too!

I bought a big punnett of mushrooms from aldi today and really fancy some garlic mushrooms/mushroom stroganoff this week, Does anyone have some tried and tested yummy recipes please?

Really disappointed this week. On plan, 100% throughout the week, and gained1/2 lb :( but I remain committed to the plan (not least because I have another two weeks on my countdown and I hate wasting money :money: )

It really is disheartening, especially when there's people who are going out and eating whatever and drinking loads of wine and losing loads of weight, and I'm being 100% on plan and gaining. It's not even TOTM so I can't blame it on that.

Right...time to get on the exercise bike.
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Sorry you're down but don't be put off by that sort of boasting. It'll catch up with them in the end just as all your good work will win through. Stick with it.:)

So LVG won't be sacked in the morning tweets.....well not this morning anyway;).

I'd like a mushroom stroganoff recipe too. That's a great idea, mary. I bought an aubergine in Lidl ready for lois's ratatouille later in the week.

I had a small tub of ice cream again at the theatre tonight, but hopefully within syns, and it kept me out of the bar.;) I managed about 1.5 litres of water on top of other drinks today. Is it 2 litres we're aiming for?

    Today's menu:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: JP with cottage cheese & spring onions, beetroot, cornichons
D: burger, SW chips, fried onions, peas, tomato, mushrooms
Syns: ice cream, squirt of HP, squirt of syrup and 1 for burger

Horrible day here again - it's still dark, raining and windy, although I'm sure it's far worse in the north.

Didn't really want to go out today but have to return my book to the library and get a few bits of shopping - haven't even got any eggs for tomorrow's breakfast!

    Today's plan:

    B - SW fry up
    L - HM carrot & lentil soup
    D - beef bourgignon; mash

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - red wine in bourgignon (3); red wine to drink 12

Schwartz do a packet mix for mushroom stroganoff which is very tasty. I used to make it with lots of onions and mushrooms, add some quorn pieces and serve it with rice on a green day. It's been such a long time since I've done it I can't remember how many syns it is though.

I checked and it's 6 syns for a pack, so I assume 3 each. I looked up a BBC Good Food recipe and that has sour cream which is exactly the same syns but the potential for going wrong;) and the rest of the carton to use up. I don't fancy the SW recipe which is really just cooking mushrooms in stock and tomato puree and then a dollop of yogurt on top after serving. I'd like to try it this week as chestnut mushrooms are on offer in Aldi.

Almost ashamed to say that the weather is glorious here, bright and sunny.:o Not planning to do anything very special but may go to local shops for a few bits and hunt down a sachet of stroganoff mix!

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham to use up so probably with a veggie omelette and some pickles
D: Lidl BBQ Beef, patatas bravas, mushrooms, mixed veg (mange tout, broad beans, broccoli etc.)
Syns: scrape of spread, weekend wine!:j

The beef is 0.5 syns per portion so not worth worrying about.

Manan I didn't like the sound of any recipes I had seen so I made up my own and it was amazingly good!!

I diced up an onion and cooked it off in fry light, added my chopped mushrooms and 1teaspoon garlic powder and 1 tsp mustard seeds cooked for a few minutes then added 150ml of chicken stock and left to reduce to almost nothing, i beat 1 egg in to 1/2 a small tub of quark then combined it all together.

I would say a glug of white wine would be nice but not essiential (i didn't have any!)

I plated up 2 meals with rice and veggies and it's nice and filling, maybe a grate of parmesan cheese to finish off
