  • Hi guys!! I'm back (if you will have me).

Lat time I was online I had reached my club 10 (just before christmas). Since then I put on 5lb over christmas and new year, in the last 2 weeks I've managed to lose 4lb. I'm back at group tonight to see if I've managed to lose that 1lb but not sure as I've been busy with sick kids and work.

Would love to join in with the challenge again now I'm back on my feet from christmas, new year and a mega busy month at work!

What are the details for the challenge? How many weeks in are we?

    Hope everyone is well!

    CP xx

We had a family weekend to celebrate youngest dds birthday so having WI on Saturday morning and trying to be extra good for this week. I would love to be in the next stone down and get my club 10.

Fruit and yoghurt for breakfast. Sliced ham and pickles for lunch and have a huge pot of ham, veg and pea soup simmering for later.

Looks like a quiet week so will try to declutter wardrobes and cupboards ready for the house move in a few weeks.

Welcome back CP and good to see you too marcsshell.

Shala will be posting this week's chart later today I expect and then she'll sort you out with the challenge. I think today is the start of Week 4.

To add my experiences of Patissierie Valerie, it's definitely for high days and holidays. I went to one in Covent Garden when we were having a day out for our anniversary. The plan was to have a cup of tea and take the weight off our feet as we needed a break. Ended up having scones and cream:o. Service was good but if I had a plan to have an afternoon tea there are so many high end hotels doing it for similar prices in much better buildings. It did mean that when it came time for what should have been romantic candle lit dinner I wasn't hungry so ended up with fish & chips!!

3lb lost this week really pleased as I've had problems sleeping and it's been a difficult week. 7lb star award too :)

I need to be very very good the next few days as I'm away at the weekend so hoping it will all balance out.
  • 2.5lb lost today. Would have liked a bit more but to be honest if I can do that every week I will be very happy.
Also won the raffle which was a little embarrassing as my daughter drew the ticket out:rotfl::rotfl:
I also won Slimmer of month :D Xx

Hurdy, I hope your daughters ok xx thanks for the post about the fruit, I found it quite interesting. I wonder why the same doesn't happen to vegetables... I imagine there is less sugar in them though.

Just watching the diet program, lets see what ridiculous things they come up with this week! :rotfl:

Welcome back CP ... challenge runs till 28th Feb..so we're just in week 4.

Welcome marcsshell, I've added you to the challenge :D

Can't see why you can't microwave it/steam it. The butternut squash might become a bit soggy though... i baked my butternut squash to make crisps :rotfl: that's not really the answer you wanted though.

    Ok chart time!!

  • Just a quick note re spiralized veg. I boiled some butternut squash spaghetti and it turned to mush, I had to boil the carrot stuff because it didn't soften when I stirfried it, and my potatoes burnt when I baked them. Still in trial and error mode there.

Had 4 boiled sweets at work this afternoon, then met a friend after work and had 2 glasses of wine, a bag of crisps, 2 oreo cornettos and after the tesco man came, 2 slices of scrambled eggs on toast. Oopsy!

Made my overnight oats for tomorrow though, tomorrow is a new day....
