Morning all
Reporting in with the result of this weeks weigh in and I've lost 2lb.
Hurdy - sorry to hear about your daughter, I hope she recovers very soon. Well done for your loss. :T
Wiz - hope you're feeling a bit better. As others have advised, you should get it checked out by the doctor just in case but hopefully it's a bug of some kind rather than anything more serious.
BEG - I don't know anything about Patisserie Valerie but it sounds like a place to avoid apart from special occasions.
The Cheese - the Full Moon party sounds like great fun, do they do it for every full moon?
Well, better go, DH and I are going into Cartagena for a wander round the shops and along the marina. There's a cruise liner in today and it's always fun spotting the tourists.
Have a good week everyone.

loislane yes, they do it every month, it's a bit mental, the whole island becomes a party island! Was a bit of a bucket list, great to do but I'm definitely getting too old for these things! :rotfl:
Hope your mum gets some good news lantanna
Sending big hugs to EVERYONE who has health/ family health problems0 -

and well done to lois!!:T
My computer keeps freezing:mad: and last night I lost a long post so well done to losers that have signed in this morning:T. I did read yesterday's posts so big hugs to those with problems too.:A
My weekend syns didn't end up too horrendous eventually as made a few wise choices and didn't go too mad on the wine syns. I haven't got any meals out planned this week either so should be able to stay with the plan properly until Friday.
For the Indian choices question I'd say go for a tomatoey based sauce not a creamy one. Lamb Rogan Josh is one of the better ones or something like jalfrezi or bhuna. Have plain, boiled rice and avoid things like samosas and poppadums and naans. Alternatively have exacty what you fancy and then get straight back on plan. You only have one birthday a year so in the scheme of things it's no big deal.
I'm trying out a fish recipe I saw in a magazine tonight. Basically it's a fish parcel with some spices and veg wrapped in. I'll report back if it's any good.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham, LO fried veg and picklesbaked fish parcel, SW chips, broccoli, carrots and cauli
Syns: none planned but may have a bit of 70% choc with late night drink or perhaps some melba toasts with cheese spread.
I bought wholegrain melba toasts to try this week as well as the plain ones. And Laughing Cows were on offer in Sainsbury's so bought some blue cheese ones.
I don't find SW particularly expensive to be honest. I mainly cook for two and DH eats all SW dinners and some breakfasts. Lunchtime we do our own thing so when he's having sandwiches I stick to SW. He has synful muesli for some breakfasts but that's easy to accommodate. I shop in Aldi with a few bits here and there particularly offers. I suppose I'm fortunate in that I do have the time to cook from scratch most days and when I can't I fall back on HM ready meals from batch cooking or a few easy things like burgers. I don't really like fruit or yogurt and I get most of my Speed from veg. I keep a separate budget for wine syns.;)0 -
Morning all! Well done to all the losses! :j
Wiz - Hope you're feeling better soon
Hurdy - Hope your daughter gets better quickly and thank goodness you went to check on her!
BEG - I have to say I think Patisserie Valerie is overrated. I find it to be all style and no substance! I've also been in 4 different branches and in 3 of them the service has been appalling! Hope your new ones better. I'd rather go for a big scone in the local garden centre now!
I am feeling a certain freedom from having ditched my scales last week. I have a sense of relief now that I'm not weighing myself twice a day and getting frustrated about what is and isn't happening. Although stepping on the scales at group was much more nerve racking without any clue as to how it had gone!
Menu for today:
B - 2 x hifi (heb)
S - activia, clementine
L - LO chicken enchilada pasta bake (hea)
D - Bolognese and pasta, ff greek yoghurt, berries, meringues (2)
S - kitkat (5.5), popcorn (4.5), banana, grapes
3 syns left to play with if needed0 -
I stand corrected, apparently we do have one here, it came before Christmas - Best to avoid I think!0

Hi guys!! I'm back (if you will have me).
Lat time I was online I had reached my club 10 (just before christmas). Since then I put on 5lb over christmas and new year, in the last 2 weeks I've managed to lose 4lb. I'm back at group tonight to see if I've managed to lose that 1lb but not sure as I've been busy with sick kids and work.
Would love to join in with the challenge again now I'm back on my feet from christmas, new year and a mega busy month at work!
What are the details for the challenge? How many weeks in are we?
Hope everyone is well!

Hi everyone
I've been lurking for a few days, so lost track of everyone who needs them, but hugs to all those with family and health issues. Hope things get better for you all soon.
We're at the tail end of the stomach bug that knocked us for 6. I had no energy last week to do anything and eating was a bit of a hit and miss affair, with too many hebs most days, plus too many syns, on days when I was able to weigh in at all. Made a big pot of bean chilli on Saturday and I've got leftovers of that for lunch today, so getting back on track, but it's my birthday on Thursday so I don't see this week being 100% (or even 70% lol!) Did a weigh in yesterday morning and I've another 4lbs off, which I am really chuffed with. I'm still glad I didn't sign up for the challenge though, I'm not organised enough for weekly weigh ins yet, and seeing blank spaces against my name is a bit demoralising. Hopefully I'll still be here for the next challenge though, I'm feeling positive.0 -
Ohhhh can I join in please
Could you put me down for 21lb please
Rejoined sw for the umpteenth time on the 4th and Monday's are my weigh in days. I have lost 10lb in the past 2 weeks and can't wait till I go tonight to see how I have done. Xx0 -
Welcome back CP and welcome marcsshell.
Seems to lots of health and family problems - hugs to all who need them.
Have totted up syns over the weekend and have about 8 a day for today until Wednesday, so better than usual!
Today's plan:
B - mushroom omelette
L - ham salad sandwich
D - chicken curry, rice
HEA - 1% milk
HEB - bread
Syns - LTL mayo instead of spread 0.5; no other syns planned at the moment but may have a Hifi bar later.

We don’t have Patisserie Valerie in Northern Ireland! BEG I feel that I def def do not need one to arrive either judging by the pics etc I have seen on Instagram lol. Mind you we only got our first Greggs last year so its doubtful.... Good for you for trying new veg and for giving the ugly ones a chance ! lol :rotfl: I can see a programme on the TV too Ugly to Eat ......................
No update on mother, MRI is on fri so we will no more then. But that's for all the well wishes.
We seem to have Greggs everywhere lantanna. Sometimes I have really fancied one of their pasties but I know for a fact that it probably will not be very nice and yet I will still stick it all in my mouth. Best avoided for now I think. Cannot get over how little pastry I have eaten since starting SW in 2014.
Will def look out for the ugly veg tv programme :rotfl:. As rubbish as some of these 'diet' programmes are, I always get drawn in to watch them. DH constantly voices his opinion of them during the whole programme :rotfl:
Fingers crossed for Mum on Friday.
ETA - def avoid lantanna until we get to target perhaps.

Well done on your loss Lois. :T. Only been to Pat Val when we have been on hols - oh I forgot - had a little taster of DH's patisserie when Mum was in hospital - stress induced let us say. Probably best avoided for both the waistline and purse
. Sounds like you have a lovely afternoon planned - b_e_g aka green-eyed-monster

With the prices they charge musogirl - the service should be tip top. I can remember going to the Chester branch and as far as I can remember everything was fine there. We have visited the branch in Chester and everything was lovely - pricey but lovely and we had one visit to the one in Newcastle and again the service was spot on and my taster of DH's was 'very pleasant'.
Hope your DD is improving HurdyGurdy.
How are you feeling today wiz?
DH made me some pea and ham soup for lunch and we are having Mac n Cheese with bacon for tea (after weigh in). Sneaky weigh this morning was not very promising.
