I think if it's the same tomorrow I shall have to go to the doctors, but, I'm scared. After having had the big C I now feel afraid it could have started somewhere else. Also my stomach is always swollen as though i were pregnant. I can't be at 75 lol I am not doing my menu for tomorrow. I shall see how I feel.0

I mash my 1 funsized banana with 1 egg and some sweetner, after alot of reading the ins and outs of why mash/pureed/cooked fruits are syns I decided that as I would happily eat 1 banana in one go then by mashing it I am not "over consuming" so happy to not syn it.
That is the same thinking as me Mrs.H on the synning of fruit that has been cooked, mashed or whatever. If I have used one piece of fruit and cooked it, squashed it, pureed it then as far as I am concerned it is free. As far as I know the nutritional value of the fruit won't have changed so I am happy with that.
Well done to all our lovely losers. :T
I totally agree wiz that things really do slow down the nearer we get to target. Despite how good you are doesn't always reflect on the scales. Hang on in there and we will get there
Tried one of the Schwartz Slow Cooker Casserole mix today (Chicken Provencale - 5 syns in total and serves 4). So simple to do and was very tasty. Served it with new potatoes, carrot and swede mash, cabbage and mushy peas. Muller Peanut yoghurt for afters. Got most of today's syns to use yet and both HEs. May snaffle of few of today's syns for tomorrow night as I usually have an nice treat after weigh in - celebrate or commiserate sort of thing:rotfl:
Found out that Patisserie Valerie has opened in a town very close to us . Have only ever frequented previously when we have been on holiday. This is probably a bit too close.
Bought celeriac this week so going to give that a go. Looks a bit like an ugly turnip. Living on the wildside again :rotfl:
Hope you all have a good week.

Put on my potatoes and veg to cook, Then went to get my lamb leg steaks - and they were off! No other food in house as tomorrow no shopping trip until tomorrow.
DH went out and got takeaway - a chicken tikka kebab for me. I ate one of the tortillas and threw the other in the bin and I had just a little of the chilli sauce. At least it came with a decent portion of salad.
Well, that's me well and truly messed up any chance of a loss tomorrow.
Hope you have lost tomorrow.
Least you didn't eat the leg lamb steaks yesterday when they where going off0 -

today did not go to plan; trip to Makro went well but then we had to call to MiL's and spent a few hours there and after that we were starving so we ended up with some fast food to eat and now I can't imagine eating another meal today!
tomorrow may not go too well as I am at the dentist first thing (9am) for a filling/repair on the tooth I broke on the day after boxing day. I hate the dentist and with it having been numbed I can only imagine eating soup tomorrow afternoon/evening. In light of this I have lifted two portions out of the freezer for myself************************************

As far as the synning of the mashed/cooked fruit goes, I saved this, which was posted on a Facebook page. I cannot remember the name of the lady who posted it, so I can't credit her, but I think it explains things quite well.

My brother is a professor in genetics and he explained it to me like this.
There are 2 types of sugars in food - intrinsic and extrinsic.
Intrinsic sugars are found naturally in most foods, and includes those in fruit.
Sugars which are added to food are called extrinsic.
Intrinsic sugars are naturally attached to fibre in food, but extrinsic are not. The problem is that when you juice, puree or cook fruit, the fibre becomes detached from the sugar and therefore turns into extrinsic sugar.
As it is no longer attached to the fibre, it passes very easily (80%) though the gut into your blood, which does not happen with intrinsic sugar (about 80% leaves the body when you go to the toilet) because the fibre prevents this from happening.
It is not due to an increase in sugar but the fact that the fibre and sugar are no longer joined.
Originally the sugar was bulked out by the fibre (in natural fruit) which kept you fuller for longer but as this is no longer the case you will feel hungrier a lot sooner as well.
Hope that helps clear it up a bit. Chewing is not the same as mashing as the chemicals released in the mouth prevent the separation of the fibre from the sugar.
Mashing changes the chemical structure of the fibre and changes the sugar content to extrinsic sugar

The best laid plans, an' all that jazz. I had my four year old grand-daughter for a sleepover last night, because my daughter had a rotten cold, and felt lousy. When I didn't get a response to any of my text messages or phone calls this morning, I sent my husband over to check on her. He found her practically unconscious and non responsive. I just knew, when I picked my grand-daughter up yesterday, that it was more than just a cold. Anyway, three paramedics couldn't find a vein to start treating her, and so she was blue lighted to hospital.
Once again, for the god-knows-how-many-times-now, she has Diabetic KetoAcedosis. Life threatening.
So my plans for the day were sent awry. How exhausting is it to have a four year old, bless her.
So, I know I had weetabix, with blueberries and almond milk this morning for breakfast.
I don't remember lunch (but I know I did something from the little 'un), and I THINK I had a pear at some point.
And we had roast pork, apple sauce, roast potatoes, gravy, yorkshire puddings, carrots, green beans and sweetcorn for dinner. Everyone else had carte d'or ice cream afterwards, but I had coconut greek style yogurt from my re-discovered EasyYo yogurt maker, with raspberries. I have lost count of syns, but I don't think I went too near to the 15 max.
And I have oat based muffins in the oven now (smelling rather lush) for breakfast tomorrow, just to make a change from blimmin' weetabix or overnight oats (has to be eaten at my desk, and we're not really allowed to eat at our desks so it has to be something discrete)
Weigh in tomorrow morning. I am optimistic for at least a 2lb loss.0
