Got weighed yesterday and lost 1.5lb.

Did the weighing in group and it was good. A couple of people got awards.

It's my birthday on Thursday and we are going out for an indian on Saturday night. Does anyone have any suggestions as what to eat to keep on plan as much as possible please?

Have a good day everyone. ;)

Menu plan looks fine. You don't need to stick to a tablespoon of beans you can have as many as you like!

Assume your HM soup was a veggie one to ensure you've had your 1/3 Speed foods.

You've made a good start and it's great that you've got some HM ready meals in the freezer.

    Yes was vegetable soup.

    Will plough on, thank you!
  • Hi everyone,

Hope you've all had nice weekends.

Happy to report a loss of -4lbs

Yay! :T:T I'm happy with a 6lb loss in two weeks, because I haven't completely stuck on plan.

Onwards and downwards with another week!

I find my shopping is cheaper on SW. But as someone already said, I think it's because I'm not buying things like mullerlights or anything branded really. Hifi bars are probably the main thing, and I'm reducing how many of those I eat just out of boredom rather than cost. But I eat cheap seasonal fruit (apples and oranges atm) and buy frozen soft fruits as they're much cheaper, and definitely limit how much of that I have - fill up on much cheaper veg instead. But the amount of fresh exotic (and often pre-prepared) fruit and mullerlights I've seen some people get through in a week on SW is amazing, it must cost a fortune!

I'm REALLY unplanned today, as we were out last night I haven't bothered meal planning yet, so no menu today. It was a lovely meal though, and I'd say only pudding was off plan as the meat was really lean and nothing was dripping in oil. I did enjoy pudding though. :D

I didn't trust myself with cake mix so batch cooked instead of baked :rotfl: tomorrow the oven will be on for Sunday roast so makes more sense to sling in some cupcakes then:D

I made a huge pan of bolognaise sauce which has split in to 2 lasanges (2 people each) and 4 individual portions for spag bol. All sitting nicely in the freezer with the 4 portions of sweet and sour chicken I also made today :o fridge can breath abit now but the freezer is stuffed to the gills :rotfl:

I'm aiming to have a weeks worth of meals in the freezer so one week a month I don't need to "buy" Sw food other then fruit and veggies for me and hopefully save some money on the food bills.... we are sitting at £100-110 a week at the moment for the 5 of us, 2 cats, 2 dragons and the demon rabbit. and thats if I can keep Mr H out of Tesco mid week!!

How do you keep your shopping bills down?

I probably spend that for 3 of us but I'm the only one doing sw and I'm at target so don't feel the need to eat masses of fruit and veg. I by 1 bag of frozen blueberries for me a week. I eat tomatoes and onion with just about everything though. My weakness is crisps :o.

Wi with STS but having tummy issues again, not been for 2 days (sorry tmi) so feeling very bloated with tummy full of liquid meds (supposed to MAKE me go!!) plus any food I've eaten. Taken extra meds but still no activity :o
Work lunches have had to change due to less time to eat so having thins 3 times a week (4 next week as out with rugby team all day Tuesday). Not keen on bready type things as they also bloat me :(, but no time for anything messy iykwim.
    Roll on half term :D
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Thanks all, I forget you guys don't "know" the Hinges and should of explained, Mr H has aspergers and Superman Autism and sensory processing disorder, they are both very rigid with what food they eat, Missy Hinge has multiple food intolerances, Dairy, wheat, Gluten, sucrose above 1%, garlic and onions :o cooking for all over us to eat the same meal rarely happens and then it involves making Freefrom versions of somethings for Missy H.

To avoid being chained to the kitchen all day long I make extra and freeze so usually have something in the fridge or freezer for each of us.

    Today:

B: banana pancakes with raspberries and youghurt
L: lasanga with lots of veggies (A for cheese)
D: ham salad and roast new potatoes (1 mayo)
    melon, apple, pear chopped up

options hot chocolate (2) sk milk for teas (2) Kitkat (5.5)

    So far so good!

I find fasting on one day a week helpful.

Don't know that I would ever want to starve.

I find Zumba great fun and have began trying a fat loss supplement already this year :o which has dramatically helped reduce the everyday snacking alongside SW.

No with Slimming World you can be to too good and see no difference. That happened to me one week walked miles, really watched what I eat and didn't lose anything, next week I do Zumba and get stuck with the unavoidable takeaway and actually lose.. will always believe there is a science to it somewhere :) all down to body types

Have to say that I quite often buy prepared fruit. It is expensive but I am not good at cutting it so it is what it is.
