:T great to see you back denise. Hope France was wonderful.

Wow Abbe, I've never heard of blind WIs - at first I thought what's the point but when you explained it it seems quite a good idea. I need to train the cat to read :D

I'm still confused. Is that where you go to WI and they don't tell you what the scales say? Do they record t somewhere else rather than in your book? I find the 'clean jeans' test works a bit like that. I don't actually know my weight but I know that jeans that fit when I'm at target are a good guide.

I agree that it's amazing what you can eat with SW abbe. As you enjoy a roast, do try the Hairy Bikers braised steak that denise mentioned.

It makes the most amazing gravy for almost no syns (1tsp of cornflour for 4 people and substitute the oil for Frylight). It's great with chips but makes a great roast too.

France was good as usual but the weather wasn't too good. Quite a lot of wind and rain but not as bad as the north here.

Food was mainly SW friendly apart from the bread, the wine and the chocolate!!!

Planning on have a sort through the freezer in the morning between doing loads more washing! then meal planning for the next few days. Think I'm going to do weekly plans for a while to see how that works out, rather than the monthly plans I usually do. Will be good to get back on plan.

AAArgh! Just lost my post!

It went along the lines of : Hi new friends, good to see familiar faces (does that even make sens

Instead of making New Year's Resolution, I chose a word to see me through everything - DETERMINATION.

When I was clearing stuff out, I came across an old Rosemary Conley Inch Loss book. It's quite SW friendly, so I'm using that as a fresh start. I'm not sure that I'll be picking up the exercise regime - I'm too lazy! I'll also be making more use of what's about rather than buying more stuff in, even if it means that's where my syns have to go.

My meal plan for tomorrow:

Breakfast: WW raspberry tart yoghurt, banana
Lunch: wholemeal pitta bread (7.5), xl mayo (1), prawns, lettuce, cherry tomatoes
Dinner: chicken curry with rice
Snacks: melon, hexb Ryvita with hexa Laughing Cow light and cherry tomatoes

Good luck everyone.

Can I set a target of 8lbs please. I realise that tomorrow's result will probably have me heading in the wrong direction but hey ho we have eight weeks don't we :p:rotfl:

So Happy New Year everyone and hope it's a good one for you all
b_e_g

I think I'd be correct to say that if you achieve your goal and lose another 8lbs, you'll have lost 10 stone! That will be really amazing, that's the weight of an average size person! I really hope you achieve it, I'll be so pleased for you. :D

Do you know what I love about Slimming World? The fact that I've just had a perfectly ordinary roast dinner, no stress (well, apart from at the gravy), nothing missing. Roast beef, yorkies (frozen from Waitrose - 2 syns each), proper roasties and gravy, lots of veg. Total syns - 11 (but well worth every one...most of that was on the proper gravy made how my granny taught me)

I am now sitting here stuffed to Sunday evening perfection.

Me too - great isn't it?! I didn't have Yorkshire pudding but I had proper gravy, and a tsp of horseradish sauce and SW roast potatoes and felt really full afterwards.

I'm still a bit confused about blind weigh ins too.

My jeans only fit properly when they've just been washed, then get baggy after a day's wear. The next size down are still too small though, so I really need to shift about half a stone to get into them.

There are a couple maman who don't have anything written in their books and their results are just stored on SW records. I can see how it works for some people especially as abbe has explained but for me I think I would have to know it was 'working' :rotfl:.

Totally second your comments re Hairy Bikers Steak (salivating at the thought ). As the syns are so minimal I am a bit of a rebel and just class it as free :p. :rotfl:

.

They write it in my book, I just resist the urge to look! I also make sure my consultant knows so she doesn't say anything about how I've done in IMAGE therapy! I only do it for a couple of weeks normally though.

I'd love to be able to just use clothes as a guide as to how I've done but I've got so much to shift that it doesn't really work for me. Last time I did SW I lost 2stone 4lbs and was still wearing exactly the same clothes and hadn't gone down even 1 dress size!:(
