Thank you maman and beanielou! Tete, only a 4lb gain is amazing. I think I gained about two stone when my dad passed earlier in the year. :o But I think I've said that I struggle with binge eating, so it's really easy for me to pile on the pounds if something sets that off.

Totally forgot to post my meal plan today. EE Saturdays...

Breakfast - Strawberry baked oats and satsumas (HEB + 2 syns)
Lunch - Ham, egg, spinach and peppers (random, needed using)
Dinner - Steak, SW chips and salad
Pudding - Fruit, Mullerlight and meringue (2 syns)
    Rest of syns - Chocolate!
    HEA - Milk in coffee

I think I'm going to have to stop having Mullerlights again. I really only have one a week as a treat, but even that small amount is not agreeing with me.
  • Evening everyone and welcome to the newcomers and returners!

Had my post christmas weigh in this morning. Gained half a pound. Added to the 2lbs I gained at my xmas eve weigh in I have gained 2.5 lbs in total over the two weeks. Not too bad considering I've only had 1 on plan day out of 13!

Had a good day today and managed to stay well under on syns which is good as will be eating at a burger restaurant tomorrow. After that I will be back 100% on it!

    Todays menu was:

B - 1 x hifi, clementine (not much as weighed in)
    L - Subway salad (1.5)
    S - 1 x hifi (heb)
D - Jambalaya (0.5 for the teeny bit of maple syrup that was probably on the outside of the leftover gammon I put in it!), ff greek yoghurt, syn free lemon curd, raspberries, meringues (2)
    E - Kit Kat (5.5)

Depending on the brand & portion size;) pavlova can be one of the better choices for pudding. I'm always amazed by how low syn meringues can be.
It was a homemade one and the portion size was great as it was not huge, pretty much average size. Lovely marshmallow centre, cream on the top and passionfruit. I have to say I was pleased she had made this as I knew it wouldn't be too bad for syns.

Oh June :kisses3: I'm an emotional eater too, but my dad had been suffering with cancer for four years, I think I did all my eating (and weight-putting-on) before he died as I was so stressed. Now he's gone and I'm not worrying about him all the time (although of course I'm upset), I don't feel as compelled to eat, if that makes sense :o

Hi.... I'm afraid I'm back again. I did continue attending slimming world until mid December but my lowest weight was June.... think I needed a proper break and to reset as I just kept going off plan and yo-yoing.

So I have rejoined as a new member in a new group (with a friend joining for the first time, so her local group), I've bought a 12 week countdown, and I'm going to attempt to take it seriously for a few months. Target is 1 stone 10.5lbs away (Christmas made me a good half stone worse off, the bright side is this is still over a stone off my initial weight).
I know people recommend ambition but I seem to always fail my targets so I'm going to aim low in hopes I can feel like I achieved something :P

By the end of this challenge, I would like to lose 4lb. Only half a pound a week, surely even I can pull that off?

    Good luck all :)

I'm with you selement. I have huge admiration for those who have aspirational targets but it's not what works for me. I like the 'meet it or beat it' approach so I'd prefer an achievable, low target and then get a boost if I can smash it. If you can stick to plan you'll do that in about 3 weeks!!:D

Funny thing about targets is the start of these threads are the only place I set or even think about them! All I focus on day to day is staying on plan, and the next award if it's close enough that I think I can reach it that week. But I am being quite aggressive with it as it's for health reasons, so the sooner I can get the weight back off, the better.

Tete, that makes sense. Mine passed with no warning (aneurysm) so it was a massive shock for everyone. I watched my grandfathers battle cancer for years though, which I think was harder as you can see them deteriorating. So still hugs to you!

Today was supposed to be EE but we had a meal plan shuffle so I think it will be SP...
Breakfast - French toast with quark and berries (B1) Coffee (1/2 A)
Lunch - Had breakfast late so not sure. Probably just some picky bits.
Dinner - Shepherd's pie with BNS mash
Will fill in the rest of HEs and syns with snacks, as usual

Weather is miserable today, but again we seem fortunate that we're missing the worst of it as the SE seems to be the only place without rain/flood warnings in place. Hope everyone is staying warm and dry!
