  • Hi everyone - old timers, newbies and returnees

Just thought I'd better confirm that my b*m is now firmly planted on the SW bus again :D

Will just have to accept whatever the scales throw at me tomorrow night, draw a line and get on with it. ;)

Thank you for our lovely shiney new home Shala and for oganising our latest challenge. Speaking of the challenge - can I set a target of 8lbs please. I realise that tomorrow's result will probably have me heading in the wrong direction but hey ho we have eight weeks don't we :p:rotfl:

So Happy New Year everyone and hope it's a good one for you all.

Hi all, still off plan today, had a lovely roast dinner at Grandma's earlier and a jacket potato for tea - not as bad as it could have been! My meals for tomorrow are:

    B - Mullerlight, apple, satsuma
D - Quinoa with roast veg - aubergine, courgette, leeks, mushrooms, cherry toms and baby corn.
T - Pork chop, boiled potatoes, one of those frozen veg steam bags, asparagus (to try, never really had it but was part of a 3 for 2 offer in the supermarket)
    Snacks - banana, alpen light.
HEA will be milk, HEB will be alpen light bar. Syns will be sugar in coffee, butter in my boiled potatoes.

Not excited about going back to work but looking forward to the routine of it and being able to stick to plan.

Congrats Lois and YES! to keeping your hands occupied Maman - I crochet and never want to spoil it with choc splodges or crisp crumbs - need to pick up my hook more this year. Enjoy the last few hours of freedom all! x

    Hi everyone

Back from France this afternoon and am sure I've put on several pounds - will do a quick weigh on my scales in the morning - no point in weighing at night when my normal WI is in the morning! Just hoping I'm not too far outside of target range.

Have read the thread a few times over the past few weeks when we've managed to find wifi but unfortunately not that often.

Have been mainly on plan today apart from the French stick we bought this morning! Back on plan properly tomorrow. Just need to do a menu plan for the week before going shopping on Tuesday.

Have bought back some lovely lean pork chops and some lean beef which I'll use to make beef bourgignon and HB braised steak. Need to freeze in meal sized portions tomorrow - once my outside freezer is down to temperature.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year.

    Looking forward to 2016.

    Denise
  • How rude of me Lois - I missed commenting on your great news. Great to have something to look forward to and I hope all goes well for them all :j:j:j. I cannot knit or crochet but I do cross stitch and I do find that it does keep the hands a little occupied ;).

Lovely to see you back Denise. Hope you have had a lovely time. :D.

    Hi everyone!

I'd love to join this challenge. I rejoined Slimming World in late October and lost 1stone 5lbs by December but lots of things happened that meant my food choices were on the back burner, then Christmas arrived and I'm pretty much back where I started (I don't know if I am - I did a blind weigh in!)

I'd like to set 21lbs as a target. May seem high, but with about 12 stone to shift I need to get cracking! I have decided to do a month of blind weigh-ins though whilst I get my food sorted. It used to be that if I had a good loss but I hadn't been very on plan I'd think I could eat whatever I want and still do well! So focusing on making the right choices, so won't be able to report back on progress until the end of the month!

    Welcome more new people!

Just popping in quickly to say that dinner changed again as DH is a bit poorly, so wasn't going to bother making pie. So a quick pasta dish it was, or courgetti in my case, so still an SP day.

Now off to enjoy my lovely syns, haven't had any yet today! :D

Wow Abbe, I've never heard of blind WIs - at first I thought what's the point but when you explained it it seems quite a good idea. I need to train the cat to read :D

Do you know what I love about Slimming World? The fact that I've just had a perfectly ordinary roast dinner, no stress (well, apart from at the gravy), nothing missing. Roast beef, yorkies (frozen from Waitrose - 2 syns each), proper roasties and gravy, lots of veg. Total syns - 11 (but well worth every one...most of that was on the proper gravy made how my granny taught me)

I am now sitting here stuffed to Sunday evening perfection.

Evening all, does anyone get the munchies the might before weigh in?

Don't know what it is but I always want to eat the fridge on a Sunday night (but I don't...phew). Looking forward to weigh in tomorrow morning I feel loads better and clothes are looser again after the Christmas bloat.

I made the sw sweet and sour pork today but with chicken...very tasty and even my litle boy liked it. Yay. Loads left over for work lunches this week.
Proud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!
