The reason I keep changing WI days and times is that I don't drive and my dd joined with me and drives me there so I fit in with her.

I would normally just walk to the other end of town but the floods meant the bridge collapsed so to get to the other side means a shuttle bus that takes about 30 minutes to detour round one way.

A footbridge is being planned but not sure when it will happen.

Younger dd is coming home tonight to celebrate her birthday so will have to plan carefully for the weekend and get in SP food etc.

    Today for me...

Breakfast - Porridge and tea (B1)
    Lunch - Seafood salad
    Dinner - Cauli pizza :D (A)
    Pudding - Hifi Lights (B2)

I'm sure I'll have some syns in there somewhere, although I'm going off plan tomorrow (meal out) so I'm not too concerned if I don't use them today!

Edit: New Me beat me to the syns for lush. I get the above as well. :money:

    Thank you :)

:j yay for the dressing still being free. I'd forgotten how much I liked it until yesterday :)

And the chicken isn't as bad as I thought. I should end the day within my syns

I've only just eaten the melon I brought with me for breakfast! Looks like I might eat lunch after I've been out for some shopping. It's a good mile walk to the morrisons in town near work (uphill on the way too) but the weather is dire and I fear spending the afternoon drenched so I may take the car out to a cheaper supermarket at dinner!

:wave:good to see you over here new me.
We don't seem to have any men posters at the moment but those we have had and those at my group always seem to lose bigger amounts. They're often allowed more syns too.:(

What you use your syns on is all about prioritising IMO. If I'm going to use up my precious syns, I want to enjoy them.:D

Good plan about the sweets lush. I can take them or leave them but it was hard when they were around a lot at Christmas.

On to Friday – my really risky day (hoping to have the lunch with my friend that she postponed last week)

Same here today greentiger. My friend that had to cry off for work has re-arranged for today. We're out all day tomorrow too so normal service isn't likely to be resumed until Sunday.

I've had a SW breakfast (baked beans and HEB toast) but that's all I've planned for today so far. When I get back from lunch I'll do my meal plan and hopefully shop.

:T it's good to have a loss even when you're maintaining sandy.

Hope you get your bridge very soon elona. People soon forget what you're going through once it slips from the news.:)
  • Thanks for the soup maker recommendations musogirl and beanie I'm sure the morphy richards one was heavily discounted a few weeks ago but all sold out by the time I cottoned on, typical!

Never thought about doing soup in the SC smedley mine's not that big but I reckon it probably holds a lot of liquid - may have to give that a go! I bought the SW little book of soups when I first joined online and think I've only tried one recipe out of the whole book, there's so many yummy looking ones in there as well.

    (I don't know if i've quoted right/ if it's going to work)
Does anyone have any recipe recommendations? I'm doing it with my mum at the minute and because I still live at home she cooks me my dinner, but she goes away soon. Lunch is easy a salad i can do that, but I'd like something warm on these cold evenings and I don't want to be eating the same chicken Tikka masala for 14 days straight as it's the only free meal I can make:o

Cooking from scratch is awesome but if you haven't got the time/inclination, grab some SW burgers and/or a SW curry (there are other meals too) from Icel8nd - super easy and syn free! I use my HEB and have a wholemeal roll with my burger and fill it with salad too.
